Default It's 90 degrees and I'm outside!

I remember (I think Slimdown said it..) someone talking about how the heat isn't bothering them as much after shedding a couple of pounds, and I thought I'd test that theory out this week. I'm only down 15 pounds, but it sure doesn't seem 90 degrees out there! I'm not sure it's the weight, but the fact that I'm finally hydrated, and have a glass of water within 5 feet of me at all times.

I sure would like to know what kinds of outdoor activities people are doing this summer that maybe they haven't done in a long while. I've been doing lots and lots and lots of yard work - pulling weeds has been a blast believe it or not. And my DH and I actually ran through the sprinklers in the backyard last night, like we did when we were little kids! Fun, fun, fun - I highly recommend it

What are some of the ways you're enjoying the heat this summer?

Enjoying the heat? Uhm. I enjoy it by blastin the A.C.!! Hahahaha

I do understand what you mean by being able to be "comfortable" in the heat. THe water and the weightloss plays a BIG part in it. The NY humidity is what kills me, but am not alone in that. I am sure I will hate it even at goal. The sprinklers sound like so much fun!

I too will begin the yard work soon, I can't wait. Haven't really been enjoying the outdoors lately though. Soon as the humidity wave is over, sure we'll all be out there.

Enjoy your summer days..

Thumbs down sprinklers are # 1

I wish I had a pool...I'd live in it from may to September!! So, next best thing is the sprinkler... but I refuse to be seen running thru it in my swimsuit, so I just go thru in my shorts, or sit in a chair and read while the kids spray me.

Right now I bet my cat Widow would say that the best way to keep cool in the summer is by shaving off all your fur. She is at the groomer's as we speak, getting a reverse mohawk 'do. LOL
She has really long black fur and I just felt so sorry for her in this heat. She's been living in the basement on the cement floor, trying to keep from overheating. So even though she'll look funny, I'm sure it'll help.
