Red face Newbie here

Today is my first day on here. I'd never even heard of this site until an hour ago. Everyone seems friendly and inspirational. I need to lose 49 lbs to get to my goal weight. So far I have been dieting since Jan 4 and I have lost 16 lbs. Since the weather in Ohio has been snowy, I have only been working out indoors. That can get very boing. I cannot wait to go to the park and jog/take walks.

Currently I play DDR every night and have been watching what I eat. That's ALL I have been doing. I also happen to be obsessed with the scale, which I know isn't good. Is anyone else on here like that? How many pounds per week is safe to lose?

Welcome to 3FC! I'm glad you're here!! Surf around and settle in! We have subforums based on age, food plan, exercise and more!

Congrats on the loss so far! Most folks recommend 1-2 pounds per week or 1% of your body weight. Sometimes people lose faster in the beginning and then it s-l-o-w-s way down toward goal.
