I've been fat all my life, and I've never been able to go out and intentionally lose weight. But I joined this program through my health insurance, and I've lost 20 pounds! I don't feel that different, and pretty much nobody's noticed, but still, I have to keep telling myself--20 pounds! Go me!
I've lost my momentum, but I'm determined to get it back. So hello everyone! It's good to read all your posts.
Welcome girls. You've both come to the right place. You will get lots of inspiration, information, pep talks, laughs, and support on this site. I'm fairly new too and everyone here makes you feel really welcome. Good luck.
Welcome Lindajoy and Sunshiny!! You have DEFINATELY come to the right place!! This place is awesome!! Please feel free to jump right into any of the discussions. I'll bring up the bios thread in case you want to add yours!!
Linda I do WW too! Good job on staying within your points. Everyone around here does their own place, but they are all so supportive and helpful.
I'm jumping in here also if you don't mind an old (hip!) lady! I'm 54 years old on April 10. But I'm a slow starter (in almost everything-not even married yet!, so I only feel like I'm in my 30's. (Is that pathetic? - doesn't feel like it to me.)
I have another 120 (at first!) to lose. I have lost and regainedabout a ton in my diet history. Two years ago, I lost 52 lbs. Isn't that great!? Wellllll, then the next year, I gained 82! (speaking of pathetic...) Well, I am determined that that won't happen again. If I keep saying it will it stick sometime? I've lost 25.5 since Jan. 1. I count calories and watch my fat grams (I try to keep them under 30 per day). So far, so good. I'm almost down to where I was when I started 2 years ago.
So, anyway, I'll check back later.

PS: Hi, Sandi, how are things going for you? I was stunned by what happened over at Yahoo! Could you believe that??
Yes, Sue, you're right. Thanks for remembering. I went over to yahoo with another string (don't know why we needed to go there but...) and it didn't last very long. I feel more at home here anyway!
I'm still doing pretty well. I got weighed this morning and have lost another pound. I'm feelin' bretty proud of myself, I must say. How is everyone else doing?
I'm a real tired cookie tonite and I just MITE be able to sleep!!
I'll check in soon, good luck everybody, and stay on plan.

I recently joined weight watchers (four weeks ago) with a friend. She dropped out and although I enjoy the weekly meetings, I feel a little uncomfortable talking there. I am looking to gain a little support and in checking the web I came across this site. From what I can tell, everyone seems real supportive.
I began with 96 lbs. to lose, so far 12.8 but this week has been really hard. I found the first two weeks were no problem because I didn't use up all the points but lately those points are adding up quickly and all I want to do is eat.
Do you have any suggestions for the times when you can't eat enough?
Hi and welcome. my suggestion is at that time to take in more protein, and water then wait for 30 min read a book check on the net for information and anything to passs the time then voila the craving is gone!!!
