Default Weekly Chat - Mon 12/31 to Sun 1/6

Hi all...I hope that everyone had a great weekend.

Got the Christmas tree and all decorations put up so I felt like I have gotten something accomplished yesterday.

All of the goodies from last week are finally gone. I decided to give myself a free pass this week so I didn't weigh in. I didn't want to see a gain...that just might push me over the edge. I will weigh next week and hopefully be at least the same as my ticker.

The kids are with there dad until Tuesday so I am going out with a group of friends tonight. Here is to 2008 being a FABULOUS year for everyone!!

Be safe and anyone else have any big plans tonight?

No big plans here, just going to be with family and perhaps play some board games.

Unfortunately, I have a huge sweet tooth and love to eat candy, but I always try to keep it in moderation so it won't destroy my calorie counts We still need to take our tree down!

This is week is going to be hard. I'm starting my plan this week but my birthday is Saturday. I can't decide if I'm going to splurge and have a piece of cake or tell people no cake. But other than that it's shaping up to be a great week.

Hi everyone -- I'm new to posting, but I've been lurking for awhile

No big plans tonight -- husband is sick, so we'll be lucky to stay up and watch the fireworks on TV!

Tonight's shaping up to be pretty uneventful for me... Which I'm perfectly OK with! We were going to go out to a fancy dinner but 1) we need to save the money instead, 2) we thought about it too late to make reservations at the places we wanted to go to, and 3) anything at a fancy restaurant would be pretty much my entire day's worth of calories! So we bought a small bottle of champagne and will sit around playing board games and watching movies. We don't have TV so we won't even get to watch Dick Clark!

As much as I love having time off of work, it's hard for me to stay OP when I'm sitting around at home for extended amounts of time. So as much as I'm glad for holidays to come around... my diet takes a huge hit. I haven't totally blown it but I know I've made no downward progress. Oh well, this is a new week, and I don't plan on doing anything I shouldn't!

Hope everyone has (or had, for you other-hemisphere people) a happy new year's eve!

happy new year!!!

Wow! In about four hours (here, in Mountain time...) It's gonna be 2008! I can't believe it!!!

I ate and drank way too much tonight! Ugh. But I'll be back on plan tomorrow and getting ready to get real real serious (when i get back to vic and can go out and get myself some healthy groceries...) about getting healthy.

Hey, I use to post in this forum pretty often a few months ago and just haven't had time in a while. I had to post because I finally made it into the 100's and am no longer considered obese on the BMI scale. Now I am just plain overweight. Seems funny condsidering I have lost 94 lbs and have gone from a tight fitting 24 to tight fitting 12's. I just wanted to post because this has been a big deal for me and for anyone else who is struggling to lose so much weight, I know that you guys understand how hard this has been. It has taken me over a year to lose this much and I need to lose more, but I am feeling great about myself now, and I have never been able to say that before. Thanks for listening.

Hi alliesmom00!

I went out for dinner with my bf last night- it was really good, but cost $120! I don't think we'll be going out again soon, lol. Today I need to clean/organize and also go to the gym. I loaded a bunch of new songs on my ipod so I should be ready!

On a positive note, I decided to weigh in this morning. I expected a gain (Xmas not so great eating combined with starting weight training) but went down a pound. What a great way to start out the new year. I hope you guys all see good results too, whenever you choose to weigh in after the holidays!

Hello everyone! We didn't do anything for New Year's...which is okay with me. I went to bed early. I've decided that I'm going to start counting calories. I have tried it a little in the past, but I wasn't too serious about it. I did weigh myself this morning, but I'm not going to count it because I usually weigh myself on Fridays and it wasn't first thing this morning.

I'm craving salty foods in the worst way right now. . . thank goodness I have pre-planned snacks.

LovinLife – I hope your New Years was all you hoped! And I’m with you on the weigh ins. If I’m still at my ticker weight next week, I’ll be happy!

Kim Renee – Hope church New Years was fun!

BLLgirl – that sounds like a good New Years.

Agirlscamaro – happy early bday! Tough starting the plan though, huh.

Thebell – welcome!!

SuiteJudy – I had envisioned a New Years like yours. Instead, we did spent the money for the nice dinner and LOTS of drinks! And I REGRETTED that this morning! I admire your restraint!

Cat’s Tongue – happy new year you too!! And now here we are in 2008, back ON PLAN after too much indulgence last night!!

Alliesmom – thank you thank you for that inspiration and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Yesitsme – have fun with the ipod!! And congrats on losing a pound!!

Sgregg – counting calories has been great for me. Check out DailyPlate (or any number of websites – I like Daily Plate because it’s got a great database, but there are other things it leaves to be desired) and the calorie counters board on this site – lots of great info!

As for me, well, I rang in the New Year by spending too much money on booze and food, getting hungry for pizza at 4 am so the boyfriend and i went to CVS and bought Digiornos, and then I finally hit the sack at 6 am. Needless to say, I woke up VERY unhappy this morning, on top of which, I had a crazy workout with a trainer yesterday and i'm so sore now it hurts just to BREATHE!!

I am so excited to leave last night far away, as I'm giving up alcohol for the month of Jan, and get my butt TOGETHER in so many ways. So many ways!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL YOU 20SOMETHINGS!!!

That is great alliesmom!! That is very inspirational, and I think I need that right now! My brother, soon to be sister in law and my sister came over last night and we watched the hockey game and played some board games. I didn't drink all that much and managed to not totally stuff my face, but the stuffed cabbage rolls were really good! I didn't weigh in last week, but wasn't any lighter again this week. I'm getting really frustrated, but reworked my workout schedule, so hopefully I'll see some loss in January.
