Default June exercise challenge

Hi ladies, I have been given the go ahead by jcatron (the original ex. thread starter, god bless her) to start a new thread as she is currently extremely busy.

I first found this thread 4 months ago when I found 3fc and it was indeed a blessing to me in more ways than one, but let me focus on the exercise aspect of it. It forced me to think and write out a goal and it was a catalyst for me to begin exercising again. THough typically followers went by minutes per month, I was not accustomed to this and so I began by saying okay, I will walk 4x per week for 40 min. etc. Took me a few months to do the minutes thing, but even then I find myself needing to break my time up on a weekly basis to keep on track. Purely an individual thing I am sure, I need to peice meal things whether it be for exercise, weight loss, etc.

SO ladies, here we go! Our june exercise challenge! It sure has helped me tremendously. I tend to hold myself very accountable here. I cannot always control the scale, but I can control the exercise (minus of cours mishaps) so it really puts the pressure on, which for me, has been a godsend.

TYpically, the exercise has been recorded in minutes but it does not matter how you do it, what is important is that we do it! THis by no means is a competition except for a challenge for ourselves! Every one is welcome and each and every fitness level! whether we go by minutes per month or say we do a 20 minute walk 3x per month. We are all uniquely different, at different weights and stages and maybe just starting out on an exercise regiment and need an extra push! THis was my extra push! I went from doing absolutely nothing to where I am now! We each set our goals given our current circumstances, stage, etc. and take it from there! THe challenge is, we challenge ourselves! hold ourselves accountable!

It is very late here and I am exhausted, lol but I wanted to start us up so here we go. It's simple really, just set an exercise goal as mentioned above....there is no such thing as too little exericise! even a goal of walking 15 min per day or a few times a week to start, depending on where we are at. Everything goes! You can go back and paste and post your hours or jsut add on. I typically just come in and post my new dates and ex. when I come in. I enjoy seeing the others schedules, I find it extremely insipirational and motivating and so please do not feel that you are posting too much by just adding onto your shedule.

Lets keep it rockin ladies, and please anyone who would like to join in, do join! : ) It really is a wonderful thing. I print out my shedule at the end of the month and keep it in my folder. Hope you are all having a beautiful weekend

with that said, jeesh, I am actually tapering down my goal of 1400 to 12oo as I have a long vaca coming up and a few things, yet honestly I hope to make the 14 but dont want the additional pressure right now.

here is my shedule thus far: My gaol will be walking , aerobics or dance, calisthenics, toning, etc......... and incorporating swimming this month as well as toning in pool via the floor! lol

June1 - nada
June2- 50 minutes ( swimming, laps and aquasize)

I am new here and feel like this might be the right place to start. I will commit to 900 minutes beginning on the 11th of June.
