Core works for me since I tend to graze during the day. I keep Core and zero point foods around (mostly cut fruits and veggies, FF cottage cheese, etc.) and it's helped me a lot. I haven't done Flex, so I can't really compare them, but most of the time with Core it doesn't even feel like a diet- just a new way of eating.

TribeFan is right. Core is a lifestyle change. It's definitely not for everyone, but for someone like myself who was engaging in bad eating habits that were very detrimental to myself, Core is the right program. I have eliminated sugar from my diet (save for the occasional treat) and don't eat anything unless it's Core. I don't waste my WPA on junk food, instead save them for things like bread, certain salad dressings (like caesar - blech can't stand FF ceasar), and alcoholic drinks (should i get a craving). I feel like I'm really on the verge of turning my life around. Sure I give in to temptation every once in a while, but I find on Core, with the elimination of those tempting foods from my household, it's limited. I only splurge on the things I set out to splurge on, if that makes any sense. I'm not constantly tempted by foods that are risky for me, if I want something bad I have to go out and buy it (which in turn makes me really consider whether I want it or not).

Core is hard, don't get me wrong - but it's as hard as any diet. I think, for myself, Core will be better in the long run. I've lasted longer on Core (my 2nd time around, set aside only by illness) than I have the 5 times I've been on Flex (where I have just given up).

You'd be amazed at how many recipes and foods can be altered to be core, as well!

(Sarah=super spokeswoman for core, it seems sorry for the crazy long paragraph at the top hehe)

Thumbs up I'm lovin Core

Hey,
I did the flex program before and was successful, but after I failed I was ready to try something that would keep me from choosing unhealthy options. I found that with core. I have been doing core for one week, and so far I have lost 9.4 pounds. It's a great program in my eyes because you really learn to listen to your body on how full you are, and in order to follow the program you can't reach for a snickers unless you use your flex points. That helps keep me on track. And, I never really noticed a direct connection to how I feel when I eat certain things, but I can honestly say that after doing core for one week I feel better.

I hope that helps you.

I never had any problems losing on Flex. It works when you limit yourself to the required points. However, maintenance was another issue. I wasn't able to maintain my weight. Eventually, I drifted off program and wound up having to start over again.

Core teaches you lifestyle changes. You don't obsess about counting points. It takes time to learn which foods are on core and how to make a large variety of meals and snacks. There are so many recipes out there. However, once you get the hang of it, it really is easy and it is sustainable. I've maintained since December and am determined to stay this way.

Whichever ww plan you choose, if you stick to it, it will work.

Jess,
and Wow! What a weight loss. Weigh to go!
Saundra,
Love to hear you make everything so clear.
Maria, You're doing great! Love those dancing carrots.
For me, I find that Core has loads of tasty choices that are filling. By staying satisfied and not hungry I find the cravings lessen. Not all the time--nothing's perfect, but this is the best plan for me that I have seen in ages.
Good luck to you and post here. We love to have people chime in.
