Arrow Help W/menu Choice Please!

So next Monday it's yet another office birthday lunch out - going to a thai restaurant.

Here's the link for lunch menu: http://thaitaste.ca/anna/lunch-full.html#food-menu

Accepting all suggestions for best choice! (please note nothing w/peanuts as I am allergic to them!..and I think the salads come pre-dressed so dressing on the side I don't think is an option??)

Thanks,

Frouf

Oh Poop, Froufie! I LOVE this game but I can't play this time. I don't eat Thai food. I'm always scared off by the fish sauce. I don't even know what they saute in. Usually saute is to be avoided. I saw some stir fried stuff but I don't know what kind of oil they use. I'd probably go with something stir fried and hope for the best!

Above all you have to enjoy yourself too. We are supposed to be enjoying our lives as we go along through this, right?!

Oh come on Vickie - give it a shot! I don't normally eat Thai food either - but this was the choice of the "birthday boy" so will make the best of it - I know the food is pretty good here - I want to make the best/least damaging choice (I know most dishes will come w/white rice - this is almost a given!).

Ok, you know I can't resist a game! I'd order the Tom Yum Goong, hot and sour shrimp soup because hot and sour Chinese is Core. Then I'd have number 18, Ped Ob Yod Pak, steamed duck with ginger and veggies. If you are trying to stay as Core as possible, I'd skip the rice. I looked them both up and they are both definitely white. Unless, of course, you have points left that you'd like to spend!

I have never eaten Thai food, looking at this menu is like unraveling a mystery to me. But I think the hot and sour soup is a good choice. And maybe Pad Khing (#16)? Or Tod Gratiam Prik Thai (#21)? That's about all I can come up with. And they're probably not even core. I don't know much about this stuff!
