Default Alrighty, I made my first smoothie!

And good goshamighty, that thing makes a racket!! I had to promise never to make one in the morning if everybody's still asleep. It was NOISY! I'm surprised the neighbors haven't called, and their houses aren't exactly close but ... did I mention it was NOISY???

I used 1T of the pudding powder (measured it out and there are 4T in a packet), half of a banana, about 6-7 ice cubes, and glugged in some skim milk but didn't measure. It's okay but I wasn't bowled over. I think it's because of the banana. Next time, I will just make it chocolate ... and then might branch out to strawberries.

Now I gotta go look at the smoothie recipes!

Hi there! I made my first MONKEY shake this morning... 1 pkt ff sf cocoa, banana, ff milk, ice.. it was YUMMY.. maybe thats just because I needed a treat, i love ice cream and that was the closest thing to it i was going to find! I'm not doing to well this week... I had this bump removed from my head the other day (friday) and they had to cut my head open and stitch me back up! so i've been ornry and really just wanted some good food without feeling guilty... i knew that wasn't going to happen! depending on th rest of the week, maybe i'll use my weigh in pass this week! good eating to all!!

Bride, I'm glad you tried my recipe and liked it! Whew! I'm always afraid when I make a recommendation.

Kathy, sounds like too many ice cubes...but I guess it depends on how much milk you used. If I use frozen fruit, I put in 1/2 with 1 cup skim, some splenda because I'm a sweet freak and no ice. If I use fresh or canned fruit, I use 1/2 cup fruit, 1 cup skim, splenda and 2 ice cubes.

There are some smoothie recipes on barbos using FF yogurt and pudding mixes. I haven't tried those yet though.

Aha! I'll bet I did use too many! Have I mentioned how noisy that thing was?? I'll try it with no ice next time and then progress upwards if it needs adjusting.
