Dear Kll,
To me a "trigger" food is any food that starts me bingeing or overeating. It's a food that is particular to each of us, mine is any cookie in the universe, and almost always leads to eating more than I want and leads away from making intelligent choices about food.
Hope this helps.

I have heard mention of specific foods related to the core diet that are trigger foods. Therefore, these "trigger" foods are to be avoided while doing core. I just was unclear exactly what these specific foods are. Thanks for all the input.

Trigger foods are personal but WW also made a determination about some that wouldn't be included in the plan because the are common trigger foods for most of us. My Leader specifically used as an example FF cheese. She said FF was included but not lowfat because no one is going to sit down and binge on a chunk of FF cheese but you might with lowfat. For me, she's right. I could eat cheese until it comes out of my ears....even lowfat. I popped a piece of FF cheese in my mouth and said "blech"!!!!! It's ok mixed in a recipe in small quantitites but I definitely won't be binging on it!
