Hi Ladies

Went to church this morning and than to brunch with my friends after that the handy man came to move my furniture. Everything went smooth, now all I have to do is wait for my bed to to be brought downstairs. He only charge me $75 for the moved furniture, where a moving company would have cost more. I asked if I could recommend him to my friends and he say yes,So I'm giving my friends his phone number,as he does everything from soup to nuts.Luck we found a good handyman for us widows.Wish I could show you how my living room looks but i don't know how to operate my camera.

Tomorrow I'm going to my friends to play canasta, and hopefully win the jackpot of $1 again.

SANDRA-Congrats on your 3.4 you're doing wonderful on the new WW plan.I'm eating too much,as you see on the top of my post I went out for brunch this morning, yesterday pizza and the day before a Hamburger deluxe.Surprising with all that extra food I down to 167.5,and it two more day until W-I.

SLOANE-I'm so blessed with all the nice friends I made during the 13 years I live on the cape. I wouldn't survived without them.

VICKIE-You might be surprised that Brody does nothing to disturbed the Christmas Tree. My kitty cat never ruined the tree.

Have a nice evening ,see you guys tomorrow morning.

Maryann..glad that you got that furniture moved..Did he do it by himself ?

Do you have big plans to spend that jackpot if you win
Sounds fun. Growing up, we used to play penny poker at my house with
dozens of teenage friends .. The pastor dropped in once and played with us.
That was the talk of the neighborhood when I was growing up because of the
conservative Southern Baptist church we had. If anyone mowed their grass
on Sunday it was also a big deal..

Eve'nin Chickies! Hope you all are doing well. I am FREEZING! It is so cold out! I'm going to painting class, and I dread going back out to my car. It's almost time to leave, but I wanted to stop in and say hello!

I have spirit!! Caught myself singing "Let it Snow" while shopping yesterday. Got me a Christmas sweater. Went with 2nd grade DGG and her class to see "Rudolph" at Casa Manana (theater in the round) today. Curtis and I put up Christmas tree. Now I need to do some wrapping. Whew!

Vickie, you and Jim always do so much decorating. I'll bet your place is gorgeous.

Maryann, wish I weighed 167.5. I'm still in the 180's. Glad you got your furniture moved. We have a handyman, too. He's coming tomorrow to clean flowerbeds. I haven't worked in the yard much since I got those spinal injections. I sort of miss it but not a whole lot. I'm getting lazier every day.

Nancy, your poker days sound like fun. I think the preacher we have now would be in for a game or two.

Sloan, stay warm. It's cool here but not too cold.

I'm subbing tomorrow and may have our 6th grade DGG in class. Life is good.

Morning all. I haven't fallen out with you. What with the snow and ice, things are a bit hectic this end.

We had a take out to celebrate Sloane and a DVD. We didn't feel up to much this year. For our 25th Mark gave me a surprise trip in a hot air balloon. Surprise doesn't go near describing it! It was a perishing cold day, very cloudy but the clouds cleared just as we were going over the chicken factory and we saw the chickens going in one end and the boxes of pies coming out the other. We were blown off course and had such a bumpy landing that the balloonist dislocated his shoulder and we ended up calling an ambulance. As luck would have it, we were only a mile from my cousins house so when we got the balloonist in the ambulance and called his business partner to meet it at the hospital we walked to my cousins. She said she would never forget the sight... Mark and me tramping up the drive battered but still standing was reminiscent of the retreat from Moscow!
Have a good one everyone.
Oh, I almost forgot. My mantra this Christmas will be 'A minute on the lips, 12 months on the hips'

Good Morning Ladies

Had a few nightmare when waking up during the night and seeing strange furniture and objects in the room. One more night up stairs and than I have to get used to the noises downstairs like the[refrig going on and off along with the coo coo clock ticking all night].Guess I will get used to that.

NANCY-He had another guy with him,and they were finished in no time.

SANDRA=I'm happy that I have such a nice handyman now that I'm alone. He does every thing from soup to nuts, I asked if it was alright to recommend him to my friends.I will will today at the canasta game. Hoping to stay or maintain around the 167-168 during the holidays. But my main goal is to get lower before the holidays arrive.

JOJO-You do have a exciting life with Mark. My DH would never think of anything like that. Sounds like the Wizard of Oz,air balloon TG you were really hurt.

Have a great day, going to play canasta this afternoon

Hi:

I've been very busy making necklaces and earrings. I think I might have told you that I took a jewelry making course. That has led to me seriously establishing my own business--bank account, business cards, developing a website, all of it. On Saturday, I'm participating in my first crafts show. I've been creating my inventory.

Have any of you heard of ETSY.COM. Look at it. I'm going to get an account there myself and try to sell things. I'll let you know when that happens.

And, one of the tap dancers today asked me if was going to join the troupe as a member. I said "if I'm invited the answer will be 'yes'." She said that I would be officially invited to join them. That will mean even more dancing, and I am really excited about that. I'll see if I can get our spring show put up on You Tube when the time comes.

In the meantime, I'm exercising like crazy and want to eat everything in sight!!!

(Jojo, I heard about the attack on Charles's and Camilla's car. Sorry to hear about that. These are crazy times.)

Tejas You've never said a truer word. Very strange times. The last time someone 'got at' one of them was way back in 1973 when Anne was driving up the Mall with Mark Phillips and her body guard, and a nutter tried to pull her out of her car!

I don't for a minute condone what happened to Charles and Camilla but can understand it. We have student riots over here. Our coalition government, which basically, got into power by promising to abolish student fees has actually increased them alarmingly.
Only youngsters who can afford it, will be able to go to university and even then, will be coming out with a bucketful of debt which will prevent them from applying for mortgages in later life. It must have been very galling to be protesting for your future and see Charles and Camilla driving around in the lap of luxury never having to lift a finger and Charles' son is even having his wedding paid for by us!
On top of this, rent a mob always infiltrates a demo and of course, they wouldn't have missed this chance in a million.
The government now say they will provide 'financial help' for the poorer people who want to go into higher education but no one believes them.

Snow and ice have gone from here, but promised to return next week. Ummm.. global warming anyone?

Hi chickies. Been MIA and missing everyone. I won't even try to catch up.

I joined WW again, on the 1st. I was totally confused on the new program, but I stayed after the meeting this week, and I think I have a better grip on it. I'm doing the Simply filling. I hate counting points. I had a slight gain this WI, but hope the scale moves in the right direction next thursday.

Sandra, get loss, wtg.

It's been really cold here in Florida. I need to suck it up and get out there and walk. We are going back to Kentucky for Christmas. I have most of my shopping done and will only have a few things let to do when I get there. Can't wait to see the my daughters and grandkids.

I'll try to get here more often. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Have a nice day. Will post again when I have more time.

Maryann..
I forgot your house layout..Is the downstairs where you are going to be
where your kitchen & living space is??
I was thinking that you might save on heating if you don't
have to heat your second floor as much..

Lost one more pound..

I even had a BBQ sandwich yesterday at Cookout but I
compensated for the calories last night.

DH is discouraged with his diet and giving up..
We stocked the kitchen with his grocery store
foods for nutrisystem , but now he wants
to pick up fast food rather than eat it.

Home cooking encourages over eating..sigh..

JoJo, a laid back anniversary sounds great to me. That hot air balloon adventure must have terrified all of you. How kewl, though, that you ended up close to your cousins'.

Maryann, enjoy your new bedroom. I am proud of you for losing or maintaining. You are focused for sure.

Nancy, on losing another pound. I hope Robin finds what works for him.

Pam, I think several folks around here had gains last week. It's good that you stayed for program again. I subbed at a local high school the last 2 days and spent literally hours rereading my materials.

Rhonda, what is the name of your new business? Keep us posted about your website. I'd like to visit it.

I'm about to get off here and have an evening snack. After that, we'll be watching an Indiana Jones movie. Tomorrow I'll be at our church's rehearsal most of the day. We're performing Sunday AM. Life is good.

Hey chicks! I've lost a couple of pounds this week. The only problem is that they are the same ones that I have been losing and re-gaining for a year. Oh well, I'm down to 135.6 AGAIN! I'm sure after the three Christmas parties I have to attend next week, those lost pounds will find me again. I have been on the new program, and I really like it. I am going to pick up a points calculator tomorrow. Not only does it calculate points, it also keeps track of weekly points and wpa's, too.

Maryann, maybe one of the clock radios that make "white noise" would help drown out the little noises downstairs. DH and I have slept with one for 26 years and wouldn't be without one.

Sandra, sounds like you have been doing a lot of subbing.

Rhonda, I'm excited to hear about your new business. Let us know where we can see your stuff.

Jojo, I'm glad your snow and ice are gone. We have had some really cold weather, and ice/snow is forecast for Sunday night. We are all hoping for a day out of school. Your balloon adventure sounds crazy! I think the way you celebrated this year sounds better.

Nancy, congrats on losing the pound. Sorry to hear about Robin. Maybe he will be more committed after Christmas.

Pam, welcome back!

Vickie, how's Brodie doin' with the tree.

I have a prayer request for y'all. DH is having serious thyroid problems. He has had a scan, so we know he does not have any tumors, but today he ended up in the doc's office as an emergency. The doc said it was a good thing that he came in when he did. His thyroid is hyperactive, so his BP and pulse were up, he was shaking, sweaty, and kinda agitated. In very severe cases this problem can lead to death if it is not treated. His doc gave him three prescriptions and told him he would see him early next week. He is resting now, but it has been a tough couple of days. Please pray that he will have a good weekend and that his doc will be aggressive with his treatment so this does not happen again. I'll let you know how he is doing. TTFN
