Nee Naw, I honestly haven't done CORE in awhile, but as I remember, one of the perks about CORE was not having to worry with calories or fat grams. You're supposed to eat until satisfied. Does this help answer your question?

Nee Naw:

The strict interpretation is as Sandy said. I, for one, think most people eat too much before they think they're full. Portion sizes are too big and people have learned to think it takes a lot to feel full...and, actually it doesn't.

I know that there is research stating that people's perception of feeling full can be manipulated by altering the portion size. So, systematically REDUCE what you might think is normal. A 3-4 ounce piece of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. Then, eat more and more veggies. No one gets fat eating more vegetables. Also, eat low on the glycemic index scale and as close to the food's natural state as possible.

So, more than anything, I try to pay attention to that..and to carb control.

Now, about NS...I'm hungry. I was very surprised that there were no questions asked about activity level, but I suppose most people overestimate their activity.

I remember them explaining at a WW meeting how much to eat...

On a scale of 1 -10
1 being starving , 2 uncomfortably hungry
10 being uncomfortably stuffed , 9 really really full

Try always eat when you hit a 3 or so .
and try to stop when you are a 7 or 8 full.

Try to never let your self get a 1 or 2 starved
or a 9 or 10 stuffed.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm just here for a moment. I've got a hair appointment this morning and then we have our family party tonight. BBQ birthday party on Sunday and dinner out with friends on Monday. YIKES.....

But, that should be the last of the celebrations until Fourth of July. Pool opens on June 2!

Good Morning Ladies

HOPING EVERY ONE HAS A WONDERFUL MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. I went to the cemetery with my friend already last Wed,to pay our respects to Leo & my friends BIL, as the National Cemetery are going to be very crowded this weekend.

Have a condo meeting in my house for a 1/2 hrs and than in the afternoon my friend & I are planning to go down to the beach. I already got a base coat of tan,so I all set for sitting at the oceans surf, and get my feet wet. Bought a beach set[tote w) matching flip flops] than to my straw hat I got a matching ribbon to put along the rim of the hat.

RHONDA-Along with eating portion size and carb control exercise & activity is very important factor in weight loss also. If you not happy with NS don't stay on it too long.

NANCY-I agree with your scale of eating, wish I had that info when I was on the core. That the reason I stopped the core, and WW altogether as it didn't work for me. The new CAD is working for me,as this morning I got on the scale and I down to 167.5,hope it stays that way until Mondays Official W-I.

Have a great day,and weekend

Mary Ann...you must get pictures of the matching tote, flops & hat with a ribbon...!!!!

I am itching to spend a few days at the beach..It has been too long.
I want to just sit under an umbrella & read all day while listening to the waves..
Maybe sipping some peach iced tea.
I might go alone because I don't want to chat..just read & listen...

Last night my daughter, her husband and my grandson hit a flooded out
road during a heavy rainstorm and their car got sweep off the road to a flooded creek. It was hard for them to all get out because the water was
10 ft deep... We rushed over and helped , and the police were there too.
They are all okay and the fact that the car is probably totaled just doesn't
seem important.
It was scary but we are so thankful that they are fine !!!

We are having a quiet & lazy weekend after a busy week.

My son graduates from hight school Friday & my 20 year old will be home
Tuesday. He hasn't been home since March so I am missing him !!

Nancy, what a blessing that your family is safe. You're right. The vehicle doesn't matter in the big scheme of things.

Maryann, photos? I'd love to see some of your new duds.

I had an NSV today. While buying groceries, I got extremely hungry. Now this is when I normally give in and buy something decadent. Not so today. Life is good.

Hi all! I was down 2.4 at my first weigh in today! It's not too surprising since this is my first week op, but I'll take it!

Great job on passing up the goodies at the grocery store Sandra!

Good Morning Chicks!

Nancy, THANK GOD, all is well with your family. Just rest and relax this weekend.

We are having fun but I've had an epiphany. I no longer love the bad food I used to eat nor do I like to be really over full. Two more days of weird food and then back to my new life.

Hope you are all well.

NeeNaw -- if its a core food you don't worry about anything else. If you make something with core ingredients, its core. If I made something with some non-core foods, you need to count those. HTH

Hi everyone. I'm feeling a bit guilty -- today is the first day since April 25th that I am not tracking anything. We were gone all day and I had a wonderful time. DH says I should be able to have one day off every once in a while. I do agree with him -- but its hard not to try to figure it out. But I WON"T.

Have a great day tomorrow. Quiet for us -- I've decided to bike to the cemetary tomorrow am. Its been a year since I've gone - another thing to feel guilty about. Then dd is in the town parade in the afternoon. I may do some more gardening. Hope you all enjoy the day.
