Nothing new,my ankle is feeling better, but now the pain moved up to my calf muscle. Leo is going out to see if there a muscle relaxer over the counter cream that I can rub on it. The hot cold compresses don't work at all.
As far a exercising I haven't done that in over a week, and it shows on the scale. Not going to be a happy camper on Monday that's for sure.
COCO-The house is clean its just needs straitening out,but the kids like to play in the basement with my treadmill and their mothers old rocking horse and the basement needs a good cleaning.
Oh Gee I don't even remember when I last had Mac & cheese. Its amazing how we crave different things.I think that a good supper for today, being its Good Friday.
SANDRA-Sorry about your foot hurting also. You think yours osteoarthritis. Hope I don't have that, just a mere sprain. We'll see what the doctor says on Monday.
Wow am I ever behind. Time flies when your feeling sorry for yourself!
Paula, I'm SO delighted that you loved the lasagna. I did too. As far as the servings go.....portion control was always my big problem on Core. If I were eating it now I'd probably be eating your portion size. I make just the meat sauce part to eat over whole wheat pasta. It freezes fabulously. Actually, I've been thinking about making some and freezing it in individual cups and making fresh pasta to go underneath.
Mary Ann, I'm so sorry to hear about your leg and ankle. I hope it's nothing serious. Did you and Leo like the Vive? How's the sugar level in it?
Rhonda, it's great that you are enjoying the pottery class. I'm sure that it's great upper body exercise. I need some of that. We've had renovators in our house like that before. Jim blames me. He says I make eye contact with EVERYONE and am too nice. I'd rather have that on my tombstone than here likes the grumpy girl. Are they done? Do you love your floor?
Sandra, you did great with your WPA's. I always hated when I used them almost up at the beginning of the week. And...your efforts paid off with a loss. If that isn't positive reinforcement, I don't know what is!
Coco, I feel the same way you do with my weigh in being on Monday. My JC counselor told me not to eat ham since it's salty. Yeah, well thanks for the help....that's what my Sister is serving or nothing. So I'll have a small piece, fill up on salad and veggies and drink a LOT of water. How awesome that you lost 2 pounds last week. You are going to do this. I like your 5% goal idea. It's like my 15 pounds 10 ten times. I have to bite off smaller goals than others do. You gave me a craving for egg beaters. I'm having Jim get me some today. They aren't JC approved but since I'm not eating their breakfast anyway, I'll just have them one morning.
Donna, we got that snow too. It was about 3 inches here. The White Sox had to delay the home opener by a day. On the morning of the opener they were running water on the snow in the outfield to melt it so it could drain for the game. Spring in Chicagoland! I hate to hear about your shoulder. My Jim suffers so badly with his. Two surgeries and no relief. I hope your Hubby is doing better. Congratulations on walking despite how you are feeling.
So what do you all have planned for the weekend? We are laying low today and tomorrow but will be at my Sister's with the whole family on Sunday. I'm bringing homemade applesauce (SF) for me and Jim and a huge mixed field greens salad to share with everyone. My Sister is a healthy eater so except for the ham and the mashed potatoes....I should be ok.
Just a quick "HI" to everyone
Got my veggies and strawberries and grapes cleaned.
Got a load of jeans in the washer. In which I figure they are done.
So need to go and check on them.
But just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of each of you.
Be back later.
coco
Vickie it's good that you're up off the floor and moving forward. You are going to make it. Period. It is definitely exciting that Jim is doing so well. How long has he been doing this? I'm asking because DH is curious.
I've managed to gain back the piddling four pounds that I lost. But, I'll just do it again. I start my walking class next Saturday and I'm sure that will help. I've also gone back to counting every measely little point.
Maryann, yes it was Tom Selleck's look alike...good work, weird personality. It's all done though and looks great.
Willie Nelson was great, if I haven't said. Billy Bob Thornton gave a totally stupid interview on CBC radio which earned him boos at last night's performance, and Ray Price is 83 and still has what it takes.
I'm just doing the endless things that we have to do to get ready to sell the house. Tonight we're going out to dinner at the CN Tower restaurant, way up in the sky. (I won't lose those four pounds this way!).
I hope you're all having a great day. (Sandra, wish were there for the egg hunt!)
Hey Rhonda! Thanks for the hand up. We both started January 13th. I've lost 14 something and Jim has lost 35.2. He's exercising 7 days a week on the treadmill for 49 minutes and walking 3 miles, I think he said. He's walking FAST! Enjoy your dinner.
Vickie, it's good to see you here. I am averaging 1 lb per week, so I'm not losing fast either. We'll get there sooner or later. Prob later, but we'll get there.
Maryann, my problem is arthritis and spurs. My podiatrist said I have "millions of spurs". I'm sorry you're having problems with your ankle. I hope you get better soon and don't have any repercussions.
Rhonda, I saw Ray Price at Panther Hall about 30 years ago. My how time flies! Congratulations on the exercise. We're going to Beaumont Ranch tonight for their fish fry. Wish me luck.
Thanks, Sandra. I know I should be patient, but I have not cheated once and I've exercised. Not one morsel, except for Thursday night dinner that wasn't JC. And all of that meal was weighed and measured and entered into FitDay. That deserves more than .88 per week. Harumpf.
How do you even walk with all those spurs? I have a couple and they hurt. Good luck at the fish fry.
Hi
Well not much has happened since I was on here last.
Did get the laundry done. Well I will have to wash hubby's jeans tomorrow. Other than that. Its all done. Hopefully for a couple of days anyway.
The jeans I was washing earlier were sons work jeans.
Had a nice big salad for supper. But for lunch we had a Healthy choice meatloaf dinner. 6 points. Had fiber one pancakes for breakfast.
For dessert tonight. We had strawberries and grapes mixed together with just a little splenda on them. Was pretty tasty.
TEJAS Sorry about the gain. You will have it off before you know it. On your walking class. Do you use the walking poles or sticks. Been wondering about those. Said they are suppose to help with balance and ease things on the joints. Glad you enjoyed Willie.
ONTARGET Glad you had a good time at the egg hunt. I bet the kids had a blast.
BEACHBUM Sure hope you get some relief with you leg pain.
VICKIE not much going on here. Have a couple of errends to run in the morning. The will probably go to Wal Mart and get my egg beaters. And then I need to clean my turkey breast. Things like that. That is great you have lost 14 lbs. That is awesome. That is something to be proud of. I am very proud of you. I have been trying to lose 12 lbs. And so far I havent met it. I have 1/2 a pound to go. And it has taken me 18 weeks to 11 1/2 lbs. Now that is sad.
Well I better get off here.
Son will be coming home here in a little bit. Have to warm his supper up.
Hope everyone had a good day.
Thinking of each of you.
coco
Just getting on here to say "GOOD MORNING"
It is rainy and dreary right now. Not sure if it is suppose to clear up or not.
Maybe I will turn on the news when I get off here.
Sure looks like the grass has grown overnight. Will have to mow next week for sure.
Got a couple of errands to run. this morning. Then going to Wal Mart. Got my list ready. And I did write egg beaters on it.
Well I better get off here. Go eat breakfast. Shredded wheat. and take my shower. Get ready and get the errands done. So can get to Wal Mart and back home.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Be back later.

The dinner was scrumptious. And, the sunset!!! I had looked up the time for sunset and we gauged our reservation time by that. It was perfect. We saw the sunset over Toronto exactly as it was happening. As beautiful as it all was, I'm ready for fewer city lights and more open space. It's good that I'm ready because that's what's gonna happen.
I DO feel the results of yesterday's exercise. I'll do some more today.
I have decided that I am not making a big Easter meal. I simply haven't got the energy. We'll have ham steak and sweet potatoes and count our blessings. I might make DH a pie as long as it's not buttermilk pie. I cannot resist that pie, I could eat the entire thing, really I'll make a lemon meringue since the lemon makes my mouth pucker too much
By the way, Billy Bob Thornton gave a totally disrespectful and insulting interview on Canadian radio, and has been thrown off Willie's tour. If you're interested in hearing the interview, go to CBC.com and search for Billy Bob. It was so bizarre.
In 1/2 our I have an appointment to have my hair cut and blow styled. Had a hard time getting to put my shoe on over the support that I have on for my ankle. Now my the pain is going up my calf and thigh muscle.Hope I will be able to go to Easter services tomorrow. If not so be it.Hope the doctor will get me some thing as Alieve don't work.
VICKIE-Sorry about your gain.Maybe you can zig zag your calorie range like 1600=1800.I bet the JC counselor is going to do something like that for you.I'm up also as my ankle is hurting and I haven't exercise in a while. But hopefully my eating pattern will help me on W-I.I know it can be frustration doing everything and nothing to show for it. Wish I could give you an answer, but we're all in the some boat rocking back & forth.
Thanks I find out on Monday when I have the doctors appointment. The VIVE is good but DH doesn't like it but we both have to take fiber and the reason we're eating it. The sugars are 10 grams 1/2 c. Hope that helps.
RHONDA-Glad that your got good results, even though you had to put up with this personality.
SANDRA-YIKES bones spurs I think that's what my father had. Is there anything that they can do for it ????
COCO-The pain is still there but if I rest it the pain is slight. This morning I had the pain shoot my leg,so maybe its not a sprain ankle after all but a tendon of ligament.Good think I have a doctor appointment this Monday to find out once and for sure.
Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I've been busy getting ready for Easter dinner. I'm having 10 in total for dinner. the dinning room is set up (had to get an extra table), my carrots and asparagus are washed adn ready to be cooked tomorrow, lamb is marinating, ham is ready to go in the oven. MIL is brining dessert, sil rolls, her daughters fiance is making mac and cheese. I think we'll have more than enough food.
The scale is moving downward and I'm happy about that! Most of the food will be core tomorrow, wine is a fruit, right?? It should be a nice day. DD is sigining in the children's chior tomorrow, they are opening the second service .We'll attend the first, then stay until she's done singing. Should be home by 11, that will give me 2 hours to get everything else done.
Rhonda, a station in Boston actually played parts of Billy Bob's interview. What a pompus A@$. I think the person interviewing him handled it well. I'm glad they kicked him out. The station played a couple of his songs, they are not that good, imo.
Vickie, I'm sorry you've been struggling. I'm glad the counselors are trying to help. Cutting back on the carbs and sugar is a good idea. I hope this week you have better results.
Maryann, Right now its snowing!!! Big fat flakes! Did the dr say what was causing the pain in your ankle? I hope you feel better.
Well, need to figure out what we are doing for dinner. Take care!
Sorry I've been scarce this week it's just been one of THOSE kind of weeks.
I met a personal goal this morning, I broke out my bike, filled the tires and rode to WW. It was cool and breezy and I was running late, but I did it anyway . Baby steps....Baby steps. I also lost a little this morning, not sure how and the home scale showed even but whatever.....
I'm headed out to plant my peas, onions and garlic, they should have gone in a couple of weeks ago but I didn't make it. I turned over the garden boxes on Thurs so today I'm just sticking them into the dirt.
Rhonda - yea on the reno being done. You must be happy. Your dinner sounds like fun, I like it at the top of the CN Tower although I've never eaten there.
Maryanne - Take care of your leg. Hope the dr. can help.
Vicki - If your posts are like your personality no chance of grouchy lady on your tombstone.
Sandra - When I helped with the Highschool youth group at church we organized and led an easter egg hunt for the younger kids one year. The teens came and decorated the eggs and put together bags for the participants one night, then hid the eggs on the day of the hunt and ran the hunt. They had such fun.....I'm sure the teens who helped you did to. And it sounds like you had fun too.
