Coco, I'm glad you found that lightbulb. You're lucky they had one left.

Good morning - have a few minutes before DD has to go out for the bus. I weighed myself this morning. I've stayed the same for the past few weeks. I'm OK with that since I have not been faithfully following the program. I added a new siggie - I'm going to focus on the next 5 pounds. I'll change a sad face to a happy face when I lose. Something different.

We made out well with our accountant, we seem to always pay the state a small amount, but a fed refund is on its way. It will cover DHs IRA contribution for 2008. So, we're even. Not too bad. Our accountant will take care of us next year and then he is retiring. I'm happy for him, but we've been going to him for as long as we've been together, DH even longer.

I did find the skinny cow ice creams. I didn't pick them up yesterday, I'll get them Friday when I go to my regular market. The one I went to yesterday is just too expensive. I'm off on Friday so I'll go and get all my Easter things and those as well!! They had the strawberry and mint. YUM.

Coco and Sandra, congrats on the losses!

Maryann, hope your leg is better.

Hi Rhonda, Donna, and Sandy. WELCOME Sandy!

Got to get moving. BBL

Need to pay some bills. And get some Thank You's wrote out.
Other than that. Nothing planned.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH I know what you mean about your accountant retireing. Ours semi retired this year. But still did our taxes. Now next year we will have to find someone else. Hope you have a great day.

ONTARGET yes we were lucky we found out light bulb. I think if we go back to a different Lowes. I will see if they have one. And go ahead and buy it. then I will have it.

BEACHBUM AND VICKIE hope you are both doing ok. Thinking of you.
Well I better get off here and get busy.

Good Morning Ladies

Going to be a quite day for the both of us,did most food marketing yesterday and now we can relax until my DD & her family arrive on Tuesday. I'll just do as much as I can, won't over do it with this bum leg.

PAULA-Hope you get a good refund, the money will come in handy to have in your pocket not theirs.
That's a good idea to track your weight yourself. I found that the WW meeting room digital scale was always 4 lbs more than my waist high physician scale W) a balance beam. So I go by that now,the only thing I miss about the meeting room are the friends I made there. A little amount goal is better than a large amount,it's less stressful that way.

SANDRA-I think the 16 lbs left is the hardest to lose. Before I had double that amount, as my goal was 140,but my doctor this Feb moved it up to 150.Congrats for maintaining.

COCO-You definitely need good light to do any craft especially in the evening.During the day when the sun light coming in to room I can thread a needle with out any glasses on.

My ankle is getting better,I'm using the RICE Method[Rest,Ice,Compress & Elevation] .Walking will do it,along with dampness in the air during a storm.Hope you resting as well. My body aches all over when the barometer goes down.BIG Congrats on your 2 lb loss and just think to reach your 5% I never got that chance to get to my 10% when I was at WW.You'll do it,I have faith in you.

Have to go,and get my left elevated on the couche

Hello All,

Haven't been around for a while because I've been feeling pretty We got 3+ inches of snow Sun night/Mon Luckily it all melted on the pavement so I didn't have to shovel, pretty sure my shoulder would not have liked that. Yesterday it was as the NWS said "brisk" out with scattered snow flurries it really looks more like Christmas out than Easter. Supposed to break today tho, the sun is shining and it's supposed to hit upper 40's this afternoon.

I did get a walk in yesterday, all bundled up. Bought the dog his pack and walked him with it empty and just like the "dog whisperer" said it puts him in traveling mode, however his traveling mode is faster than mine One of us will need to change, but it seemed to work well. Now I just need to get back on the wagon and all will be well.

Coco and Sandra - Congrats on the loss

Maryann - hope you're ankle is better.

Rhonda and Paula -

Have a great day everyone.

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been checking in lately -- lots of drama in my life regarding the divorce. I haven't been sleeping so well.

But here's the good news: If everything goes OK, I may get my 10% award today at WW! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. When I joined in January after being stuck for a year, I thought the 10% was totally, utterly, hopelessly impossible. And now here I am a few months later. Who knew?

I still remember my leader's famous words, "If you're on a plateau, following the simply filling plan is a great way to start losing again." She deserves a medal!

But I've continued to do beautifully with the nutrition. I think I have only not prepared a meal at home once or twice since I moved out the first week of March.

I've also noticed I get fuller on *much* less food than before. So I just eat until I'm satisfied, and then either throw it away or put it in the fridge for later. Sometimes I still take more than I can eat, so hopefully my eyes will catch up sometime. (But at least what I'm taking is healthy!)

Congrats on the losses, Coco and Sandra!

Maryann, right now I'm just throwing pots on the wheel. I did a rather half-decent job on the first three. This week I painted them for firing. I think that the teacher does the firing so I'll see the product next week.

We are having the strangest experience with this renovator. He does very good work, but his work habits are bizzare. He has a friend/helper who comes with him and they both talk ALL the time, as if they were guests in our house instead of people we've hired to do something. This happened before with the other people we had in. I just want someone to do the work, not attempt to entertain me. Very, very strange to me. At least I can escape to the office.

I've not been keeping good track of what I'm eating, but I'm being conscious of what I'm doing. I don't think I've gained anything, and might have even lost. I'll check when my life is my own and the scale isn't under something else... hopefully sometime soon...

We don't talk politics here, but I must tell you about something I've just read that I think is the best explanation I've read yet. It's not partisan politics. It is a Bill Moyers's interview with William Black who has written a book about the economic mess we're in. If you're interested you can just Google "Bill Moyers William Black" and find links to it. It was on PBS.

OK, everyone I need to get out of here. Oh, we're going to go see Willie Nelson tonight!

Hi
Well am washing clothes. Was going to hang things out. But the sun is warm. But the air is too cold for me. Especially handling wet clothes. The temp is 43
But air cold. So will save those things to wash later. When it is a warmer day. But still have plenty of washing to do.

ATHENAWITHHEART WELCOME. Sorry to hear about your divorce. CONGRATS on the 10%. That is awesome. I am doing 5% instead. Sometimes when I see the 10% I feel like I will never get there. But with the 5%. It dont look like as much. But I need to lose 1/2 a pound and I will have my 5%. And I feel bad. If I lose the 1/2 next week. It will have taken me 18 or 19 weeks to lose 12 lbs. That is really too long. But I guess I lost it.

TEJAS I want to go with you tonight. I like Willie Nelson. Blow him a kiss for me.

TECHALUM Hope you are feeling better. Great job getting your walk in. I have been thinking about trying to start walking again. I have also been thinking about getting the walking poles. Do you know anything about them. Say they are suppose to help ease the pressure on your joints. Hope you have a good day.
Or if anyone knows about using the walking poles. Please let me know.

BEACHBUM I am so sorry you ankle is still bothering you. Sure wish I was closer. I could come and help you out. But yes rest. So you will be able to enjoy your visit with you family. That is the important thing.

Well got to go.
But will be back later.

Hi Everyone
Not much happening here.
Just thought I would get on and see how things was going.
Did get most of the laundry done. Will have to do a couple loads tomorrow. Unless I decide to run around. I need to go and get some egg beaters and stuff to make salad. And some fresh veggies. So may wait until Friday or Saturday. See what kind of mood I am in in the morning.
Well I will get off here.
Go check some e-mail.
Hope everyone had a great day.
Thinking of each of you.

Maryann, my doctor moved my goal to 155. Now do I have a good doctor or what? I know you're excited about your family coming Tuesday. Enjoy every minute.

Paula, I have seen the mint Skinny Cows, but I don't care for mint so I don't buy them. I love the strawberry ones, though. Yummy!

Donna, hop on that wagon and let your doggie pull you along.

Rhonda, soTom Selleck is a talker? When will he be finished with the job? Is he on schedule? I know you'll be glad to get your home back to normal.

Athena, congratulations on the 10% loss. I am happy for you. You're doing great. Sounds like you have a good leader, too.

Coco, how's WW coming? Are you having a good week?

Vickie, where are you, friend? I hope all is well and you're getting the results you want.

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new,Its going to be a long weekend waiting for my orthopedic doctors appointment this Monday.I was going to sing with my choir for Holy Thursday but now that my ankle is still acting up I won't be able to attend. The standing and kneeing is going to be to much for me. Hope I will be able to make the Easter services instead.

Weight is till up,but I'm averaging the week up instead of the day. so there might be a small change by then.

TECH-YIKES sorry about the snow,my DD called and said that they got snow flurries. Told her don't bring it up here, as the temps are around 40 and the birdies are singing so nicely and I don't want them to go away. Hope you shoulder doesn't bother you after shoveling. April is a funny month in NY in 1970 we had a BAD storm on Easter Sunday. Left my dog out in the back yard, and when I got home the poor animal was shivering, had to dry his little body with lots of towels.

ATHENSWelcome to the board.Sorry about your divorce, that has hit all around my family,so I know what your going though. But a big congrats on your weight loss success, ever hit my 10% at WW but I like COCO's idea about aiming for the first 5% its makes more sense . You're lucky you had a good leader,We live I a small town and WW only has 2 leaders.really no choice.

COCO-Thanks you such as sweetheart. MY Leo is helping me as much as he can,and if I can't get the house to look perfect for my DD visit. She'll just have to understand.Be careful going down those basement steps.I didn't and I paying for it now.

RHONDA-My DD used to do some pottery. Hope you pots come out nice once there are glazed. It that the guy who looks like Tom Selleck??? or some one different.????Have a great time at the Willie Nelson concert.

SANDRA-Can't wait to see my little darlings. We haven't seen them since Christmas. Hope the weather holds up even if its still cool up here. My Plan is to try to make it to 150 and than if possible I like to go down further.

Have a great morning

Hi Everyone
Well did go to Wal Mart today.
So got me some fresh fruit and veggies. But forgot my egg beaters. Probably wont be back out until Saturday. So hope to remember them then. I want them for Sunday for the breakfast at church. Told hubby. That if I dont get the egg beaters. Guess we could just eat 1/2 of cup of eggs at church. Maybe that wouldnt be too bad. They make scrambled eggs for the breakfast. And then I got the fruit. Maybe I can even take us some oatmeal. And fix that instead. We have a micorwave. Well see.
Boy I wanted a seedless cucumber. It was $2.18 at Wal Mart. I couldnt believe it. The regular ones were .98 cents. But they werent very nice.

BEACHBUM I am so sorry your ankle is still bothering you. Sorry you will miss your service tonight. But hopefully you can make Easter. Your DD will understand if your place isnt perfect. But I am sure it is. If you are like my Mom. When someone is coming. She thinks everything needs a heavy duty cleaning. I tell her. Dont worry about it. Wait until they leave. Because you will have to clean after they are gone. How's Leo doing. I hope he is doing ok. Both of you are in my prayers daily.

ONTARGET WW is going ok. I think so far I am having a fairly good week. Guess Monday will tell. Just trying to make plans for Sunday.

HI to everyone else.
I have to get off here. Got to get busy.
So will be back later.
Have a great week.

I went to school forour grand's egg hunt. What a hoot! Those kindergarteners were precious searching for those eggs. I can't tell you how many eggs we had to hide but were we ever lucky a high school PE class offered to help. Life is good.

Coco, you'll do fine at the church bfast. You sound like you have thought it out well.

Maryann, my feet are hurting, too. I hope you get yours taken care of when you go to the doctor. I just have to take things one day at a time. Some days are better than others, but this osteoarthritis is the pits.

Good Morning Chicks. Sorry I haven't been here. I just cannot post and be chirpy and supportive when I'm struggling so badly. Let's just say that my 1900 calorie tests was a miserable failure. I gained 1.2 last Monday.

The nutrition department said I should be on 1700. This was lower than what I originally started at, which was 1700 plus a starch. They also said I needed to get my heart rate up better when I exercise. Let's just say that I was a crying, miserable girlie on Monday. One couldn't have felt more sorry for oneself. I feel like I've hit my dieting rock bottom. I've never dieted and worked so hard before and been unable to lose more weight faster. So with the help of my adorable and wonderful husband, I've picked my little fat self up and continued on in my quest to get fit and healthy. I've been on 1700 calories this week and I've taken myself off of all the JC desserts because they have so much sugar. I'm not much interested in her snacks because I'm more of a sweet eater. I was already off all of the breakfasts. The rest of the time, I'm eating primarily Core. If I wasn't so lazy, or if Jim wasn't still on Nutrisystem, I'd be cooking Core, since all I'm eating of JC now is the lunches and dinners. Jim has said that I should cook for myself that it won't bother him. I can't do that. I don't want to sabotage him and I think I can lose weight on the JC meals. He's down 35.2. Awesome.

I also significantly upped my treadmill this week. I intend to walk 5 times this week. I'm doing 1.25 miles in 32 minutes with a level 2 elevation. If this doesn't get me a loss then I don't know what I'll do.

So, I'll be in and out while I fight my battle.
