Hey Chicks!

Maryann & Joselyn-congrats on the wt. loss

Sandra-I'm happy to hear about your sales! Since the economy is so crazy right now, it's awesome.

Rhonda-I'm always so impressed with your exercising! I have started again (for the thousandth time) to start walking. I am trying it in the morning at school, so I get it out of the way and don't "fizzle out" in the afternoon.

Paula-the ice cream sounds good! I've discovered that I'm lactose intolerant, and lactaid does not help. I should try to figure out something with soy milk.

Things have been status quo for me, except for the walking. I think my goal is going to be to maintain until after the holidays and then get those last 4-5 pounds off. GTG be a teacher. TTFN

Got back from the center late again, they couldn't decided whether Leo should go to the next cycle of chemo or not,but came to the conclusion that he was on the 4th cycle and the cycles only goes to 6. The cancer is gone and he feeling well enough to cancel the treatment, for 2 months than we must go back for a Pet scan in January followed by the radiationist & chemo doctor reading the scan .

SLOAN-thanks for the congrats, but I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch. I'll wait until Fri to see the resuts on the scale.Great idea to maintain during the holidays.maybe I should consider that also.

Have a great evening

Hi Everyone
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Well weigh in didnt go to well Monday eve. I gained 1/2 a pound.
But I should really be able to get back on track.
Hubby's Dr called me last night. Because she had gotten his blood test results back. Well here they are Cholesterol 398 Triglycerides 1000. At his appointment she told him to do WW. So guess now he will really have too. So will be doing the flore plan. Just so he can see how much he can have to eat. Until he gets the hang of it. They are going to put him on some kind of pill for the triglycerides. So waiting to get that.
Other than that. Everything is ok.
JOSLYNN WELCOME. My Leader does core. CONGRATS on the loss.
Well ladies I am going to go and catch up with everyone.
Thinking of each of you.
Have a great evening.

Good Morning Ladies

Another cloudy day and the heavy rains are heading our way.Leo wants to get out early before the down pours start.

COCO-Hoping that your DH cholesterol goes down with the diet & the pills for the trigs. Mine was 600 about 10 years ago but they are now 187 with diet and exercise along with my 2 types of pills.

RHONDA-Hope you had a goodnight sleep, and hopefully we'll see you on the thread later on.

Hi everyone. Its been a busy couple of days, can't wait for the weekend. I did have wi yesterday, I'm down .6. I was hoping for more, but its a loss and its TOM this week. Today starts my new week and reset of my wpa's. I'm going to try to limit those as much as possible. Other than that, not much else is going on.

Joslyn, congrats on your first core wi! It is a great program, I hope it continues to work for you.

Maryann, I'm glad that you and Leo get a 2 month break. It should make the holiday's easier not having to do treatments. Congrats on the scale moving. Its also good that you know how the sodium is affecting you. Try making homemade soup (I do it from canned stock). Its really easy and quick. If you make it with barley it freezes well. If you want noodles or rice, add them when you want to reheat as they tend to get too smooshy.

Sloanie, I did find a few recipes for ice cream that use soy milk. Is there soy yogurt as well? If so, It should work.

Coco, I hope you dh is taking the drs orders seriously. Those numbers are scary. I hope with your help and ww he can get things under control.

Well, got to ge moving, just wanted to touch base. BBL

Hi All:

I went to bed at 9:30 and slept for 11 hours. I was so tired!

Today's been OK with eating, but yesterday was a little off. I had too many meetings and receptions to attend and my willpower wasn't what it should have been.

I think I'm going to get up from here and do a tape: I'll feel better if I do.

I am doing so bad!!!
The colder weather makes me want to eat things I should not.
I have gained back 3 pounds and now I need to move my ticker
the wrong way
So I got all the right things at the store today and I am going to be
really good. For months I got away with not dieting and not gaining,
but all of a sudden I gained 3 pounds.
Sloanie...you should be proud..you have been so steady!!
Everyone on here amazes me at how much planning you do and all the will power...WOW!!!
I am at 144 now and want to be strict and make it to 130.

Just thought I would see what was going on.
Supper is over and dishes done.
Now just waiting until time for Grey's.
NANCY237 I know what you mean about this weather. Well right now our weather hasnt been too bad. But the time change. Now it gets dark earlier. And all I want to do is pick at stuff. And I am not even hungry. The evenings just seem so long. Guess I need to dig out some craft stuff. But just havent done it yet. Maybe that can be something I do tomorrow. Hope you have a good evening.
Green beans were good. I put some minced onion in them and a little splenda brown sugar.
Well I am going to get off here. Got a couple of e-mails I need to answer.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Thinking of each of you.

Nancy-YOU CAN DO IT! Your comment about the weather reminded me of a post about comfort foods. Look at the recipes on the board and see if any of the "cold weather" foods that you have been craving can be made core. You know that this weight loss thing is a journey that has ups and downs. You just happen to be in the "downs". It will get better!

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new, except I got on the scale for my Official W-I and I up 1 lb after losing the 4 from the sodium intake last week. To me its a maintain so I'm not moving my ticker. Heres to next week,I just have to be very careful reading labels as I'm very sensitive to sodium.

PAULA-Congrats on your weight loss this week. Thanks,We are very happy to be away from the center, espeically around the holidays. I was a little disappointed when getting on the scale this morning,I thought if I can only hold that lose, but every day we fluctuate and it didn't happen. I bought some low sodium chicken stock and I'm going to make some chicken barley soup over this weekend.

COCO-I had lots of laundry to do myself yesterday, and what a job carrying the lodes to the basement from the second floor that was a workout in its self. Disappointing the lost wasn't that great as when I W-I this morning the scale was up 1 lb. Hope to lose that in a day or two,as I'm thinking is a water gain. You gave Coco good advice,we're all in this journey together. I love green beans & onion combo.

RHONDA-Sometimes our bodies need the long sleep.Thats what happens to me,when I really exhausted.

NANCY -Sending you cyber hugsI know what your going thought, it happens to me when the weather get colder I do rely on snacking the wrongs things. My bad mistake was sodium in the soup I ate last week. I found a way to keep my hands busy when watching tv is to do some knitting or crocheting.Maybe that could help,in this cold comfort food nights. You'll lose that again.Just go back on the Core and watch those WPAS, spend them wisely.

Have a great morning

Hi Everyone
Just checking in for a few.
See how everyone was doing.
Not much going on here.
Had to go to the bank for son. So did that.
Now just figure out what to have supper. Getting in a rut of fixing the same thing. So need to find something different. Will have to dig out the WW cookbooks and check out the recipes on here.
NANCY237 WW has a Comfort Food cookbook out. I have it. Not sure what kind of core recipes are in it. I got it. And never made anything out of it.
BEACHBUM My washer and dryer are in the basement also. Sorry about the gain. But glad it equal outs to a maintain. That is good.
The sun is shining right now. But guess we have a chance of rain later on today. We really need the rain. The creeks are getting pretty low right now. Well I am going to get off here. And go dig out some craft stuff. My computer is in the room where the stuff is. So what a better time to do that.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

I'm the one who wrote about comfort food. I'm really feeling the urge for casseroles, chili, soups...those can be Core without any problems. It's the baked goods I really crave and have been avoiding as much as possible.

We haven't heard from Tracie in ages! Did anyone hear from her? Are you lurking, Tracie??
