Good morning, ladies! I think I managed to go all Core yesterday! Woot!

Um...that's if Kashi Heart-to-Heart is Core, and SF/FF banana creme pudding is Core. (Both from recipes I got on the board.)

I cooked a bunch of foods last night to eat throughout the week (or at least a few days.) I'm excited and feeling a LOT less overwhelmed than I did the first few days!

Rhonda, thank you for the clean pages.

Going to WW in the AM is our priority for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow afternoon we're picking up our 8 yr old granddaughter and are taking her to piano lessons in Cleburne. Her teacher is a former classmate of mine from Grandview. Now is all this why we're here or what!!!

Eggie, I don't want to pop your bubble but I don't think Kashi Heart to Heart is Core. Somebody help me here. Am I right? I hope I'm wrong.

Good news!! The sf/ff pudding is Core. Congratulations on getting on that Core Wagon. You're doing great.

I've heard different opinions about Heart-to-Heart - in the recipe (which I got off this board), the poster said that her WW leader said it's Core, because of the high fiber.

For starting off well - today has taken a nose dive. So far my eating is on track, but tonight may be a problem. It's the perfect storm of emotions, stress, and time constraints.

Eggie, I hope you're right. I like that cereal, too. Hang in there tonight. Just remember that the sun will come up in the east in the AM no matter what happens tonight.

Hello chickies!! Just thought I'd come by and say hi and see how things are going around here.
I've been doing good, just incredibly busy trying to get things ready. A quick update...I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (not a big surprise given that I found out that I an insulin-resistant just before I got pregnant). The diet alone didn't do much so I am now giving myself insulin shots. Because of the GD I will be induced at least one week early if I don't go into labor before then. She already weighs almost 5 pounds!!
We're busy trying to get the house ready, having baby showers, etc. There is so much to do! But I'm excited, and I definitely can't wait until she's born.
I hope that you all are doing great!!

Yea Melissa! How exciting!! It's too bad about the diabetes but probably all will be fine with the little one, and you, too. Thank you so much for keeping us informed.

Sandra, YES! that's why you're there in your old stomping grounds. Enjoy it all!

Oh..has anyone tried the Fall Muffins recipe on the board? I made them last night. They didn't rise. The mixture was really soupy, filled 12 muffin spots in the tin (not 6), etc.

But, they were really tasty.

Hi Chicks! I lost 1.6. Less than I hoped but I'm happy with it anyway. Now I'm ready for next week.

Sandra, you sound like you're loving your new life. Great!

Rhonda, I never made the fall muffins but I wanted to. I can vouch for the banana walnut or not muffins.

Melissa, HEY! Great to see you. Can't wait to see a picture of your new bundle of joy in a couple of months. I can hardly believe it's less than 2 months to Christmas.

Eggie, I meant to buy a new Complete Food Companion today and I forgot. I don't think that Heart to Heart is Core. You have to be a little careful of a couple of the recipes here or on any other board. We tried to be very careful here to say if they were Core + but on other boards you just have to know better. I'll buy a book and confirm next week.

Ok chicks....off to eat and watch TV.

Hi All:

We just watched "The Edge" a 1997 movie with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Guiness AND Bart the Bear. What a movie! What a bear! I highly recommend it.

I did great with food and had a glass of wine with the movie. It's been a looonnnggg week trying to a report I have to do. Tomorrow is the deadline, and I took tonight off. To heck with 'em if they can't take a joke. Right? Right!

Good night (really only one glass of wine)!

Way to go Vickie!! That's an awesome weeks loss!!!
Eggie...that cereal is not a core item...sorry! Ezikel has a cereal that is core.
Brand Name is FOOD FOR LIFE - Ezikel 4.9 the PLAIN one is a core item
Either way, you can always count the points for the Heart to Heart. I never felt 'certain' foods were "core enough". You could always have 1/2 of that cereal and some fiberone cereal (core) and have a bowl of cereal for 1/2 the points. Just a thought!

Hi Melissa...congrats!!! I haven't been here, so I didn't know of your wonderful news..

Have a good day out there.....

Hi ladies!

Having quite a week (is it really only Tuesday?) and having a bit of trouble staying on track. But I'm doing pretty well - just chose a Core lunch when I would've killed for a sandwich. (I'm well past my points allowance for the week.... ) Every bad choice rejected is a victory.

Got my report done!

Also, went wayyy off the diet today, but I'll get over it.

I'm getting much more attuned to stress-related eating and that is a NSV of importance!

Coco...just get back OP, that 3 pounds will melt off!

Tell me why, why...I can reduce calories, not drink alcohol and still NOT lose...and DH just cuts out a few things here and there and loses!! It ain't fair.....whine, whine, whine!!

Rhonda
