need info on ww low carb plan please!

  • anyone on this PLEEZE email [email protected]. thanx!
  • Hi. In answer to your question -- there is no WW low carb plan, per se. What we tell people in Week 6 (after they take the quiz) after handing out the book, "The Right Mix" is to figure out if more or less carbs or proteins are more satisfying. then you get to tailor your points distribution based on the following information:

Basically, allocate your points according to this "formula" meeting the needs of your points range:

    Milk: 4 points
    Fats: 2-3 points
    Carbs: 6-9 points
    Protein: 6-8 points
    Fruit/Veg: 0-3 points

YOu can then decide if you want a higher pro/lower carb day based on the minimums shown above.

    Hope this works for you.
  • Come see us under the WW section - WW Low Carbs. I can tell you it works well for many of us to limit our carbs...we don't do no carbs. We be happy to have you join us!
  • FOR IAMALEADER...
thanks for the info! can a be a pest one more time? you mentioned carbs 6-8 i think? what does "carbs" mean? you mean bread &stuff? also... where in ny do you live? i live on L.I.
  • Hi there, KD. No Problem! Carbs -- yes, carbohydrates. In that category falls potatoes, grains (rice, wheat...) pasta, bread, etc. I live in Westchester, and work in NYC. You? What town in LI?
  • thanks isnt westchester upstate? you commute to NYC??? im in suffolk county.
  • oh... one more thing... sorry! are non starch veggies still unlimited?
  • For the most part, non starch veggies are unlimited, except that carrots, jicama, and onions are one point per cup now. Onions, rarely eaten raw by the cup, add up when you do sauteed onions for your steak or hamburger (one cup cooks down to 1/4 to 1/3 cup depending on factors such as water content, etc.) and the reason carrots are a point now is because people were eating them CONSTANTLY as a means of controlling other NOSHING issues. So, there you have it.

Westchester is anywhere from about 30 miles to about 50 miles north of NYC -- I'm in a town that's 40 miles from my office -- I do the MetroNorth thing! Door to door, it's 1hr 15 minutes...

    Where in suffolk are you?
  • got it! thanks. im in nesconset.
