I'm a sucker for motivational sayings , having spent mega-years in WW meetings soaking up every corny aphorism they dished out. Let's see, I remember 'I've come too far to take orders from a cookie' and 'nothing tastes as good as thin feels' and 'fake it until you make it'. Then there are ones that are personal to me, like 'whatever works' and 'every day is a new day; every morning is a fresh start' and 'you gotta have faith; you gotta believe' that have evolved from my journey (not profound by ANY means but things I said to myself over and over again as I was losing). Oh yeah, I've spent way too many hours chanting 'no more fat legs' as I do cardio!
Today, for some reason, I keep hearing a *voice* in my head whenever I've been tempted to eat something off-plan ... 'this is too important to mess up'. Don't know where it's coming from, but yeah, this really IS too important for me to mess up. Losing the weight is the BEST thing that's happened to me in a long, long time and I don't want to risk blowing it and gaining it all back. So I'm listening to my voice.
Anyway, it got me thinking about the things we say to ourselves to keep on track. So I'm curious - do any of you have a favorite saying or something that gets you through the tough times? Do you talk to yourself? (I do - all the time ) Anyone want to share? You can't be much cornier than I am!
