  • Quote: 1oftheLuvs - Ya. I'm gonna try to get my head in gear for the last month. May not make it to 140, but will try to get as close to 150 as possible! And maybe finally see 140s by end of December? Anyways, have fun on the cruises. Sound like you are working them, right? Not vacationing, are you?

Vacationing this time around... I'm checking out the new Disney ship during a 4 day cruise then spending a couple of days with a friend in the Tampa area. After that I'm heading down to FLL to sail on the largest cruise ship in the world. It'll be an awesome time.

My last cruise was a Seminar at Sea, so I'm sure that's why you thought I'd be working.

Keep up the good work, you are doing awesome!

Actually because you said, "back to back."

Just ignore me I'm just jealous Never been on a cruise before! Me and my friends were talking about it, and they want to "schedule" a long term goal for 2013. That's two more years!!!

You have lots of fun! World largest cruise ship?! Sounds awesome!
  • Had a great week with a 4 lb loss, which is a net loss of 3.6 below my prior low. Less than 3 lbs to go to my goal for this challenge - Onederland!!!

  • Good going, April. You had a bad week (while on plan - they happen!) and you didn't let it mess you up. Now you're below what you had been. It's sort of like losing a pound or so a week in a steady fashion. Just one more time that persistence has paid off big time. You're doing such a great job. Keep it up! Now you'll have to change your "for now" goal because you are just a couple pounds away.

  • I am thrilled to report that I made my goal for this challenge today!!! I never expected it but I had another whoosh between Sunday's WI and today, and am now sitting at 199.4!!

When I set this goal back in July, I thought I was crazy and that there was no chance I could make it, but I was hoping that working towards it would keep me on track to get to Onederland by the end of the year. I can't believe I actually made it and got there early!! My next mini-goal is 191 (to get from Obese to Overweight) and while I don't expect to get there by Thanksgiving, I will continue to stay on plan and see how much closer to it I can get by Thanksgiving.
  • Whoo Hoo, April! Way to go! I remember exactly how it felt to go under 200 pounds. It is such a fantastic feeling. I'm really proud of you! You are probably more than half way to your final goal now, even if you don't actually have one posted. We're the same height. Unless you are a very small framed person, I can't imagine you plan to go below 140 pounds. (I could be way off, I know, but I was 140 in high school.) If that's the case - just think of what this means. Since May (less than 6 months) you've lost at least half of what you want to lose. And certainly more than half of what you need to get into "normal" for 5'-7"! Did you ever think it would go so quickly? I sure didn't and if I had known that I could lose 90 pounds in less than 9 months, I might have done this years ago. That's wha I want to tell all the newbies and strangers on the street! LOL

Have a fantastic day. We'll see how my month of maintenance went when I get on the scale tomorrow for my "first Wednesday of the month" rather than "every Wednesday" weigh in.

  • WTG April Snow!
  • Just a quick check in - I weighed 161.2 this morning. That's down a smidge from 162 on October 5th and is exactly where I want to be - maintaining between 160 and 162. First month done - about 480 more to go! (I plan on living to be 100! LOL)

  • Just checking in out of habit on Wednesday - weigh in day for me. I'm trying not to weigh in until the first Wednesday in December, but I guess I should weigh in on the day before Thanksgiving just to end out the challenge. Better the day before than the day after! LOL. Just 2 weeks to go. I know some of us have hit our goals and that's fantastic. Hope everyone has a great last 2 weeks of this challenge.

  • I had a bit of an off plan weekend, but I'm still trying not to weigh in at all. I'll let you all know how that strategy works next week when I actually do weigh in on Wednesday to close out this challenge. Let's all have a great last week totally on plan.

    Yes!
  • Hello Everyone! Sheash! I'm still hangin in - though I haven't posted for weeks! I'm in the thick of school and all that comes with it - finals in 3 weeks. Hitting the holidays at Mach 6. Eric comes home in 3 weeks for Christmas! Yay!

I finally broke the damn 6 week plateau and am losing at a slower weight - but losing. I'm easily in my size 20 jeans now, even from the drier. So that's a good thing. Im not sure that I'll make my challenge weight goal, but I'll be within a few lbs of it I think. I'm not sure if I understand how my body loses weight any better, either. The only thing I can do is set small obtainable goals and observe my progress toward them.

That kind of seems like I should be saying "duh" after that statement. But man, that's harder than you think! This whole journey is one long strange trip. But today I went to the gym. I survived a fast speed road trip and didn't gain, but continued to lose! I've started getting some compliments because it's beginning to show. so I'm on my path and I'm just moving along. Sometimes it feels like bebopping. Sometimes it feels like a trudge in sludge. Sometimes, when I'm lucky, it feels like a steady efficient march. I'm learning to accept and be happy with all of those things - as long as it's motion forward.

I don't know what I had in my head for meeting Eric's plane in 3 weeks but for some reason I'm feeling now that it's not a DRAMATIC enough change. I guess I thought he'd have a new wife by now. Well, there's always Late March. Maybe he'll notice more than I do. It's weird that way, body image.

  • Hey, Kiki - I was wondering where you were! Hope all is well. It sounds like you're on track for making steady progress again. Hope the last week of the challenge is kind to you! I'm sure Eric will notice the difference when he gets home - especially since he'll be looking for it. It will be nice to see his reaction.
