  • Wowww that's alot of pounds lost!!

Thanks Riestrella, and congrats on your loss!!
  • Dorian - It was actually the best run I've ever done! No stopping, good consistent pace and even managed to speed it up at the very end. I did it in 56 minutes, so just need to start getting faster! I run alongside a canal, and it heads towards the countryside, so as I go further along it I always feel like it's a bit of an adventure because I'm discovering new views!
  • I would most definitely love to join this challenge. I hope it's not to late to join..
  • Wow this challenge is perfect! I was thinking to myself the other day how awesome it would be to finally wear a sexy (not slutty) Halloween costume for the first time in my life. This coming Halloween will be my last Halloween while in college, so I want to to celebrate it with confidence. Not sure what I would want to wear, but so far I like the idea of being a sexy cop Last year I went out with friends that dressed and looked the way I wanted to look. It was embarrassing to feel compared to the rest of my friends who are thin and toned, but I will make it my goal to be one of those girls this year! Woohoo!
  • 3lb loss this week. I like the new Halloween colors on the spreadsheet :-) Hope everyone is doing well!
  • I have NOT been very good this week! I think I'm finally getting to a place that I feel OK in my own skin and it's translating into my dieting effort. I'm not where I want to be yet, I can't afford to be lackadaisical!

I haven't been eating over my calories, I've been at 1200-1400 every day (1800 at the most on Saturday and Sunday) -- but I've been eating a lot of salt, not drinking my water, and not working out. Which is making the scale show a 3 pound gain, even though I shouldn't have gained anything at all.

Weight loss is frustrating! Oh well, I have a big bottle of water and plans to get a hard run in after work today. I really want to be at goal by Halloween!
  • Yay DC!! Good job! I wish I could say the same! lol

Dorian I hear yu! I had a strange week myself. On Sunday i think? One day I woke and had mcdonalds for breakfast, then sonic for lunch, then bbq sandwich for dinner and then a sonic ice cream for dessert!!! I hardly eat out and that day I did allll day long. Now, I can only assume it's a couple pounds added on to my weight or I'm still holding a ton of water lol. But, I'm up a couple pounds. Though, I must say it felt a bit awesome just eating again and not thinking about calories, sweets, salts, but at the same time glad it's out of my system and I'm not going to kick myself for it. Just continue on doing what I'm doing and be glad and thankful for my break as well as the fact I didn't keep it up all week month or year! lol

Anyone is still more than welcome to join! And a link to the chart is on the first page on the first post from me, if you'd like to add yourself to it If not and you'd rather have someone add you, just ask. Many of our members are very computer savvy and will have no problem adding new folk!
  • woah i had an incredible week apparently since im at 144.0 it's weird how it works like that, some weeks you creep down ounce by ounce and other times it just plops off... but one thing is, i REALLY need to start toning up if i actually want to look GOOD at a lower weight, not just BETTER.
  • Hey guys, I've been quietly sticking with this challenge and weighing in.

I'm the one thats been fiddleing with the spreadsheet. I'm actually very happy with how fun it looks.

Today I weighed in at 197.3. I'm now solidly in the 100s and very happy. Starting to feel like the end is in sight and I can do this long term. Thanks Guys

  • hey all!! i haven't posted on that thread in ages.... i fell off the wagon so i'm back up and technically have only lost a pound since the beginning... ehhh... but! i'm back! so...
  • ButterCup85 - Great outlook! We just gotta get right back on the horse!

vDub Lynxx - NICE work! I hear ya about toning, 25+lbs ago I thought my weight now would look excellent, but I'm still kind of marshmallow-y. I definitely need to get some weight training in there myself, stat.

Scarlett - LOVE to hear about that first number becoming a 1 for you! That's EXCELLENT, very proud of you! Keep it up!

KawaiiCandie - Glad you're back, we all slip off sometimes -- getting back in the game is the right thing to do! Glad you found your motivation again!

    ---

My weigh in is tomorrow... I'm not feeling great about it. I ate well this week, VERY healthy, higher calories than normal but still at a deficit.... still, I've had a lot of sodium. And I baked apple cranberry muffins from scratch tonight, it's SO hard not to eat a bunch of them! But I only had one (120 calories, super low cal recipe) and now I'm having a mug of hot tea before bed.

I've got to get my arse back on the treadmill soon!
  • thanks!

yeaaah... sodium is evil... hope you see a good number tomorrow though! cooking is evil too... you need superhuman streght-of-will to resist those muffins! good luck!
  • I weigh the same as last Friday, 123.2lbs -- at least it's not a gain! But really!? I ate at a deficit most days, and the days I didn't I ate at maintenance at the MOST, definitely not more. So it's just frustrating that the math is there to show at least a little bit of a loss, but the scale says otherwise.

Still, definitely glad it isn't a gain and I plan to get back to running tonight after work! Sooo glad it's Friday, but I have a really busy day at work ahead of me so I better get on it! Good job, ladies, everyone is doing a FANTASTIC job! Keep it up!
  • Well, with my mess up this week I didn't gain any so that's good! But, I didn't lose any either! Lol, we'll see what next week brings. This thread has been a bit quiet and I'm sorry I haven't been here much. Working messed up hours. Yay part time at Walmart, they take advantage of the fact I said anytime, I didn't know it'd be all times of the day whenever lol.

I hope yall are doing well and have a great weekend! I'll be working lol.

Scarlett- by the way I love the changes to the page, they seem to change every week! Lol, different and fun each time I go! Looks good, every time lol.
  • I'm done fiddling, I promise. I just can't help myself sometimes.

maintaining is definately a victory. When you lose weight your metabolism slows. ie someone who lost weight to weigh 208 needs to eat 80% of what someone who always weighed 208 does to maintain. It takes about a year of maintance for your metabolism to catch up. So it's just another week of your metabolism catching up.
