Hi everyone: I am finally ready for the first chorus rehearsal tomorrow. Just have to have music ready for everyone, and because we are a unique group, most printed music doesn't suit, so I have to re-arrange most of it.
We belong to a concert series, and this afternoon we went to a matinee. It was one of the best we have seen. Called Club Swing- an 8 piece band, and 5 singers. They played a lot of music that we all grew up with. The singing group sang in very close harmony. Made me think of the Modernaires. I know there was another group that sang with the big bands, but neither DH nor I could think of what they were called.
Then came home and went out to dinner, since we only had a sandwich after church. I am now beginning the struggle anew, to keep off the weight that I lost from my hospital stay and recuperation. Sadly my appetite has mostly come back, but I am trying my best to remember how it felt when I just couldn't eat any more, and am trying to stop. I know portion control is so important.
I often thought I'd like to go to WW weigh-in in my bathing suit, but never did. What I do is wear the same clothes each time I go. Then I know I'm not gaining or losing because of the change in the weight of the clothing.
Eileen: I'm not envious of all the snow you have had to remove. Did that alot before we moved to Fl.
Maria: Loved your pictures. You take such good photos, and your composition is always good. A friend downloaded a photography program for me, then he up and died, and I don't know the first thing about all the stuff I could probably do with it. I did enlarge a pic of my gr.granddaughter and was quite happy with the results. I'd like to be able to get out the 'red-eye'. I am assuming that is possible.
Lily: Sorry you won't have such easy access to us, but understand, as my DD cannot use her 'puter' at work for personal stuff any more either. Guess there was too much 'junk' coming in on the system. We'll just look for your posts when you are able.
Trudy: Your little

sounds so precious. I do wish we were closer to our little ones, but it is not to be. I am so glad that you are close by to give Slavika and her DH support.
Glenda: Hope your work situation doesn't cut out your ability to post and email. We are not great followers of most sports any more. I guess we never really were, except for the big championship games. When I was teaching, of course then I always followed our teams. but then that all changed. And I guess there is something in me that says that the professional teams are just not worth all the money they get. I will say, tho' that I have read recently, that more of them are starting foundations to help people. So that is good.
Slavika: Hope that this week will bring results and treatment plans for your DH. Your 'airings' sound like fun and I would like some new furniture. Maybe I should take my DH out for some 'airings' too.

: But sadly, I don't think he would co-operate. By now I imagine the cousin is there and trust you are having a pleasant time together.
Karen: I am sorry that your DS is shipping out. It surely is not a happy thought, but I know that you are putting him in God's hands and protection.
Hope all is well with you, DH, SIL and Sprout.
Peggy: Are you snowed in? Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope all is well and that no one has the flu or any such thing as that.
DH's brother is in the hospital up north, with a pulmonary embolism and possible congestive heart failure. This has not been a good year for them as he is still recuperating from the fall he had early last summer, and the brain surgery he had. We are praying that we won't have to make an emergency trip up there. They were supposed to be in Fl now, but the day before they were to fly down, the Dr. said

so they had to cancel flight plans, etc. SIL is feeling that now they will probably not get down here at all, and they will lose all the money they put into the condo, unless it can be rented to someone else.
Sometimes it is hard to remember that 'God is in control'. Hope all is well with y'all this week. Ann
