I joined this group for support and ideas on how to finally win this battle with weight I have had all my life. I am 32 and about 20 pounds away from my goal weight. My food choices are limited because I am allergeric / intollerant to a long list of foods. My doctor told me that my weight could be causing my fertility issues. I have also been vegan for two months for health reasons. I have been vegetarian since highschool but vegetarian / vegan does not always mean healthy. It seems I can loose weight great until I hit 160. After that I hit a wall, no matter what i am eating and how much I am working out.
I am responsible for all the cooking in the house. I love cooking and creating new tasty treats. My husband informed me last night that he would like to lose 50 pounds. He is gluten intolerant like myself. I have no clue what to cook for him because he will not adopt my vegan lifestyle. I would never force him to either. I cook meat (no pork) for him but he never has a clue what he wants to eat. I usually just throw random ingredients into the crockpot and hope it tastes good to him. lol
Anyway, i look forward to reading all the great ideas this community provides. Together, we will all hit our goals.

I'm just curious, but how hard is it to be vegan if you are gluten intolerant? I have several relatives with that problem to varying degrees, and it seems like if they were vegan, too, they wouldn't have many food options!
