Okay, so it's still Wednesday night here but I'm never on line early enough to beat you gals to the draw.
I really enjoyed reading your posts for yesterday, Chicks. Very inspirational.
Ruth, you're one in a million. I'm so proud to call you my friend. Can I come and live with you?
Hensa, I can sure sympathize with you and your chocolate bar story. That bar just had your name on it. Bet you managed to resist though. I've been making sugar free chocolate pudding to get me through the chocolate cravings. Don't know if you can get it in S.A. though.
Must be something in the air or the phase of the moon or something. We all seem to be getting the exercise bug. I'm determined to get in shape even if I'm never slim. I told my neighbor to get me out for a walk every day even if she has to drag me kicking and screaming. So far, I've been the one to call and remind her. This morning I did 45 minutes of fairly energetic water exercises at the pool, and then we walked for about 45 minutes. We're gradually increasing our distance and then we're going to increase our pace. I'm the slowpoke holding her back but she says any walking is better than none. When my hips start to hurt, we stop for a moment so I can do some stretches which seems to help.
Man, this all better pay off at my Friday weigh-in. Even though I know I could be building muscle which weighs more than fat, I still hope to see instant results on the scale. Gotta stop thinking that way. It's how I FEEL that's important and I'm feeling a little firmer and a little stronger every week.
Hope you're all noticing little improvements too. Hang in there. We can DO THIS!!!

Are you able to get low carb chocolate in S.A.? Here in the States we have Pure Dee-Lite & Carbolite and I swear you can't tell the difference. I'd be glad to send you some if you want. May be worse for the wear after the trek from Houston to S.A., but let me know. Melted chocolate is better than none at all & you can always firm it up in the fridge.
