Welcome on in Em ... hunny whatever the reason or embarrament was its great news that its made you take this step towards a new lifestyle.
I remember one Halloween I was out with friends and some jerk at the bar made a comment about the "fat chick" meaning me. I didnt react .. but one of my friends did .. she went up and smacked him in the face (even tho I tried to stop her), and it just made me more embarrassed cos it drew attention to his comment. When I finally calmed my friend down (and stopped a bar fight from starting lol) .. she asked why I didnt react, and didnt it upset or hurt me? Of course it hurt me, Im not made of stone, but when I thought about the comment I remember the last time I was teased about my weight was when I was in primary school! Sooo that just made me think of that jerk as an immature beep and not worth my pain ... after that she stopped hitting ppl on my behalf rofl ... not a good experience .. but it must have affected me deeper than I thought .. now that I think back on that time .. it was one of the last times I went out for a night out ..
Well .. darn .. thats gonna have to change this year too! lol ..
Welcome in Em .. and just remember .. there is nothing so embarrassing that you cant talk about it to someone .. not necessarily on the board if thats a bit too public for you .. but just call out on a pm to anyone on here .. they are all lovely and supportive if you need to vent or express or just to get a new perspective on something that happened.
