Morning everyone!! I hope all had a good weekend. Mine was filled w/a business confernce and then over 10 hours on the road w/driving. Wasn't the best weekend, but wasn't the worst. Today's gonna be better!! Already have my exercise in, food though isn't appealing to me so that one is gonna be a struggle. Have a great & OP day!!
Bec: Welcome back. How did the drive there on Friday go? You mentioned being very tired. How's the kids? Over their sickness?
Well, the weekend was ok..just had stupid peanuts (need to get them out of the house!) and that threw the weight loss off. My own fault, I know--cuz they're not induction friendly. So the scale was up a couple pounds--but still a good loss for the first week. I'll take any and ALL losses Back to exercising (DH is going to start working out with me today also. So I'm hoping to get exercise in TWICE a day ) and drinking TONS of water. Looking back, I guess what I ate COULD have been worse...but I should have chosen a fruit or something instead of the nuts (nuts don't agree with me anyway--even if they DO taste good ).

I talked dh into eating properly with me....and giving up his GI-NORMAS bowl of popcorn 3 nights a week. We compromised, and he'll have it once!!! I talked him into walking with me again, so that helps alot. I couldnt care less about the popcorn, but the man had 4-ply bypass 8 yrs ago....and all that butter isnt good!!!
Had to get up extra early this morning to take the grandkids to catch their bus. Dh is off to do his civic duty (jury duty) and dd is at her dad's. So Im all alone....gonna get my workout in, and pictures taken (before I get all sweaty) Then Im going to get cleaning
Brenda~Kids are doing much better. Daughter was a lot better so I didn't feel like such a horrible mom leaving on Friday. The drive was good. The other 2 ladies that I went with were great and we had such a blast!! We acted like such teenagers. Did my soul some good. Get your water in today! KUDOS on the loss.
Robin~That is great that dh is gonna workout w/you. What a guy. Share those pictures.

Ok. 16 OZ of water in and a bottle of Diet Lipton Green Tea (for flushing things out). Now off to see if I can take a nap before exercising and tearing my room apart (it's TRASHED and I think the only way to clean it is to remove everything and rearrange stuff. It'll force me to HAVE to fold clothes and put things away ) I'll check in later I'm sure when I take a break for lunch.
Woo Hoo on having that much water in Brenda, that is great. Cleaning your room is gonna be a HUGE exercise task in it's self. I love doing big cleaning projects like that, you get all hot and sweaty and it just really helps out the mind, body and soul. Good luck and enjoy your nap.

Scales show a 4 lb gain this morning, but it's ttotm so I'm not going to go cry over it yet
I had a single SF mixed drink last night, I'm wondering if THAT could cause a 4 pound gain.
I went to the closet to pick out a dress to wear to the funeral tomorrow and realized that I don't have a single dress. So I'm gonna have to figure out something since my mumus don't fit anymore
Robin: That is a HUGE step, I wish I could get dh to quit smoking 2 packs a day...how do you go about talking to someone about it??
Becka: I'm jealous, it would be so fun to get away!!
Do you smoke yourself Lacey? That helps if you can do it together. But for my dh....he isnt overweight. He thinks he is, but I like him the way he is. There is a 16 yr age difference between us, and he has had quad bypass, and when we talk about him eating properly(no cheeseburger soup for him!) it usually brings out alot of emotion in both of us. I want him around for a very long time. We both lived in bad marriages for too long......so lets live in this one for as long as we possibly can. So...that might work for you too...2 packs a day isnt good. Give it a try...
Bec: Want to come clean my house. THAT is a HUGE project. I hate to clean. I've got everything but our bed and dressers out of the bedroom (which makes the living room trashed ). So decided to take a break for lunch and then I'll get back to it.
Lacey: Are you going to go buy a dress? You could simply see if DH has ever thought about quitting. For myself, whenever someone mentioned quitting I'd get defensive. And truly, if a person isn't ready---they won't be able to. Good luck!!

Well, I've got 16 more OZ and then my water's in. As I said above..the living room is trashed but our bedroom is shaping up You know, if we didn't have to have a bed our room would be VERY clean Not a whole lot of places to put our bed...and not sure I like where I've currently got it. Well, if I don't like it, I'll eventually move it back I'm sure. But for now, I need to get things in place and then HOPEFULLY the living room can be cleaned tomorrow. Then my rearranging will be pretty much over (going to rearrange the living room tomorrow IF I manage to get the clothes folded, etc so that I can SEE the living room ). Back to work for me it is...after more water
I got my 20 reverse crunches in last night, didn't do the bike though. Went to bed at 7:30pm and slept tell 6am this morning. AHHHHHHHH, I feel very good this morning. I was feeling a sinus infection/cold coming on so took some med's and went to bed. Got up and did my Body Flex, under much protest. Had dh help me w/my measurements. It was a little less than a year ago when I did that before and boy oh boy....I have some work to do. It's good seeing those numbers. No bike ride tonight, I have a youth group meeting at church so I will get in my crunches and maybe I'll do a little bit more Body Flex, not promising it though. We will see. I have a lot of business calls to make today and computer work to do so. I love being a sahm and running my own business from it. Got to love having the best of both worlds!!
Lacey~The gain could also be from all the stress that you have been under the last couple days. I always gain HUGE when I'm stressed. It's not because I'm eating more or less it's just stress, I suck it up like water. LOL Hope you find something.

Robin: nope, I've never been a smoker....don't allow it in my house and all that. Guess it was my fault for falling head over heels for a stinky smoker LOL
Gettin' ready for the funeral this morning. Borrowed a dress from a co-worker, I've seen her wear it before and NEVER thought I could get my big butt in it, but it fits very well. They are giving my aunt temporary leave from the hospital so that she can attend her sons services, so it looks like I"m designated nurse since she's on oxygen, etc, etc....if you're the praying type, then throw some up to the big man that she makes it through ok. I think that'd have the be the largest pain a person could ever have to endure.
Have gained five pounds to date and was wanting to look SO GOOD for my biological father who I'm taking the kids to visit this weekend. He hasn't seen me since any of my weight loss and I wanted to impress.

My eating is better lately - made chicken soup last evening and will take some for lunch today. My immediate motivation is an overnight trip to SF with my boyfriend this weekend. Yikes!
Not alot happening around here....the sun is trying to sneak out!!!! hopefully it will last until I can get out and go for a walk!
Did my workout yesterday, and played around with my pictures. They didnt turn out as bad as I thought they would!! Got my measurements taken, and I think Im back in the zone. I talked to my mom last night, and told her what I was doing. She remembers when I weighed 155 last....it was grade 11 for about a week!! She's been very supportive too, she's back on atkins today, and I gave her a bunch of my fav recipes. It would be nice for her and I to reach our goals by summer.
Well it was my first day yesterday, this morning i'm down three pounds. My Mother in law brough over low carb bread, tortillas that only have 5 carbs pork rinds, lunch meat, cheese with no carbs, and a huge case of bottled water (1.5 Liters) and some Sobe lean things, they taste alright and they've got 1 carb. So i guess i'm sort of set. Yesterday was hard, my fiancee and i went to carls jr for dinner, since we were out and about, having to buy a new dryer. We just installed an A/C onto our house and our panel is over loaded (pool, spa, all elec appliances) So i just had the famous star with cheese, ate the meat and cheese. I ate nothing but cheese and drank a Fresca soda (no carbs either) and then had some eggs around noon time. So wish me luck on my next few weeks.
Lacey~ My fiancee just agreed to quit smoking, and he smoked more then 2 packs a day. I just sat down and told him that this is going to be really hard for me, and i wanted him to do it with me. (he can't give up his precious milk everymorning) so i suggested to stop smoking, he thought about it and after about 2 days agreed to do it. Yesterday was day one for the both of us, his temper is short, but i got him gum, and hard candy, and have promised to cook him whatever he wants for the next week while he gets over the hardest part. He's agreed to work out with me once a day in an effort to get his lungs in better shape. Just bring it up that you want to be healthier for both of you, and going through it together might be easier.

Bad News: Living room is now trashed Everything from the BR went to the LR. ARGH! So that's this afternoons project.
Stepped on the scale and STILL up 2 pounds. But at least I've still got a 3 (? don't remember now) pound loss from last week. Tomorrow is official WI day. DH also said he'd exercise with me when he gets home. So maybe that'll help push the scale down. At this rate I won't get my valentines day challenge met. ARGH!! Ok, off to go drink water and organise the LR a bit
