Default Staying on CORE while working from the office

Hi Everyone,

This year, I have been self-employed and worked from home for the most part. Witin the next few weeks, I will start a full-time job from an office. (I expect to work about 60 hours per week at least in the beginning). The good news is that they do not have junk food around like some companies. I would appreciate any advice that people might have about how to stay on plan while working out of the house. Obviously, I will need to pack my lunch, bring lots of CORE snacks, maybe even have a fruit bowl in my office. Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated. Also, what kind of snacks do people bring?

Off I go to weigh in....

Thanks,

Goldenberry

If you'll have a fridge handy, that would help. I have applesauce cups, pineapple, SF jello and SF/FF pudding. Actually I bring a 1/2 gallon of milk on Monday and that lasts me all week, and then I make the pudding each day. I divided up the box into four equal parts and put them in little Tupperware containers. Anyway, I also have my Maltomeal and grits in my drawer, and sometimes cook them for breakfast. The hot water that comes out of the coffeepot is perfect for that. And then of course there's popcorn!

If you have a kitchen, like Kathy said, you can do lots of things. I thrive on taking fruit and fruit cups, applesauce cups, popcorn, diet drinks, individual oatmeals and that sort of thing. Very handy. I actually find it easier to eat core when I am at work than when I am at home most of the time, because I can schedule myself. Good luck!

I agree w/the above, a fridge and microwave or kettle sure is helpful! I keep little cottage cheese cups and sf/ff yogurt in the fridge along w/lf or ff salad dressing, ff cheese slices and sf jello!

I also keep a fruit bowl on my desk and in my drawers some instant oatmeal and cereal bars for emergencies.

It can be done!

Another good snack idea is hummus and cut-up vegetables. Hope this helps!
