Question

Hello again - I'm a new returning lifer of two months and am a little confused about the purpose of this thread. Can someone who has been around longer explain. Is it to only post what one has eaten for the day or is it also for problems encountered maintaining, etc.? Thanks you.

Hi Ginaki: Regarding your question, you'll find various topics in the Lifetimers/Maintenance thread. Several members like to post their journals daily, but there are other threads - such as Thin4Life - that deal with other topics and plain old everyday life (with weight issues woven throughout). In short, you can talk about anything that interests you. I'm not sure if it was here or on another thread where there was a long and detailed discussion about belly button lint, so that should give you some indication..

Ginaki

I'm also a lifetimer and found this thread kind of boring. I checked out the WW Women Helping Women and now I've made many new friends and we talk about many different things.

Why don't you check us out. It's at the bottom of the WW thread. Called Women Helping Women - WW

Maintenance is a very scary thing for me. I am so afraid to add points as I tend to gain very easily. For instance, this past Sunday evening we ordered Chinese food in (a real red light food for me). I had 1 cup garlic chicken and a nice serving of rice noodles, and l/3 egg roll. Monday morning I was up 3 pounds. Now I know that is a temporary gain, but it means to me that I can never eat like a "normal" person and I don't ever want to be 50 pounds heavier again. I'm afraid to add even one point. At the meetings, not much time is devoted to maintenance as most people are there to lose. Each person I know who is at goal handles maintenance differently. Some add a few points daily, some stay within points all week and eat what they want one of the week-end days. So, I'm still a little leery about the proper way to do thi. Thanks for "listening."

I'm wondering how it will work out for me too. This is my first week of adding 4 points to the range. I'm fairly sure I gained. But I'm hoping the body will get used to slightly more food without continuing to gain. It should be interesting...
