Wink Weekly Chat - January 3rd - 9th

Okay so I cheated, its not Moanday yet

Tomorrow being the first day back to work after a 2 week vacation will be pretty hairy, so I figured I'd post this now cause I might not be able to pop in.

I picked up a ton of veggies at the store, got some garden burgers, a few ww frozen meals, they were on sale and I have my veggie egg rolls...I'm set, now all I need is Gods strength to push me along.

How's it going with you all ?

Oh btw, I plan on getting up in the morning and doing WATP tape I'll let you know if it REALLY happened lololol.

Hugs !

Hey Leenie! So, did you WATP???? I bought a set of those, but didn't like them. I could feel that they would do the trick and burn calories, but it just wasn't any fun for me. The treadmill was fun because I could put on my headset and daydream away the time, but WATP took too much concentration

I tried a new frozen dinner yesterday, from the Lean Cuisine new Spa Cuisine line. "Salmon with Basil". The picture looked great, but it wasn't as good as it looked. The dish contains wild salmon, whole wheat orzo pasta, spinach, carrots, and a basil sauce. Fits very well in the med diet. There was very little salmon, but it was tender and had decent flavor. The dish was just ok. Mine seemed kind of dry, without much sauce. Considering what was in it, it should have tasted better.

Default Hmm has everyone run off to the Med Sea?

'Lo Med Ladies,

Hope the New year is treating you all well. Things here are okee dokee. Passed my yucky medical test on Monday. Back at work and doing okay with getting up at the freaking crack of dawn and exercising.

Food is right OP. I wish the chef fairy would just come over night and make me meals so I dind't have to. I am a very messy cook and the only part that bothers me about cooking is the cleaning up afterwards. I guess this is why I try to do my cooking for the week once on the weekend. one mess for the week vs seven messes

I made another batch of pumpkin Chili for this week. it came out yummy. Only thing I changed was to add 1/8 -1/4 t of cayenne pepper this time. I had two portions of the chili for lunches this week and shoved the other 3 in the freezer. I'll save those for the week after next so I don't get bored of the stuff. This weekend I am thinking of making a cottage cheese roast. It's looks like a meatloaf but is made of cottage cheese, ground nuts, egg whites, corn flakes, seasonings and I add chopped spinach. yumyum Its so good cold in some WW Tortillas with lotsa spicy ketchup SNARF!

What's everyone else up to/cooking/doing etc?

Good Morning,

My new cute boss is keeping me so busy I can barely post, but that will slow down realllll soon b/c leenie is having 3fc withdrawl lol and I get nasty if I don't get my daily 3fc, just like my coffee

Suzanne, I like WATP but can't stand the music, so I put on a cd and do it like that. I never did do it monday b/c we didn't set the alarm clock LOL! but at lunch I went for a 45 min walk and then at night I did do my Kathy Smith upper body weight.....another one I can't stand the music or her voice yelling whoooohoo... cringe...so I put on a cd and turn her voice off

This week I've been doing really good w/veggies, I mean really good. But yesterday when I got to my mom's (TOM is here) she made some home made perogies so I ate 2 and went way over w/calories. Today I am feeling guilty but I will be TOTALLY OP this weekend, no messin around

I went to Red Lobster yesterday w/my coworkers and I tried a dish on their Lighthouse menu.. It was the Tiliapa in a Bag... I highly recommend it to anyone, it was YUMMY, the lunch portion was totally big enuf, I can not imagine the size they give you for dinner. In a scale of 1 - 10 I'd rate it a 10.

Linda I have my pen ready to write down the recipe to the pumpkin chili, and my ckn is defrosting I will make it this weekend

Linda, I'm dying to know about that cottage cheese loaf! It sounds so crazy that it might just be good I'm glad your test went well, hope the rest of the year flies smoothly for you!

Leenie, what Kathy Smith tape do you have? I recently bought her Timesaver "Lift weights to lose weight" set, though I've not actually used it yet.

I'm buying a treadmill this week! My old one died ages ago and my body has suffered for it. I'm so excited! I'll have it in my home Wednesday or Thursday, if all goes well

Oh! The mediterranean diet may have more benefits than good health!

Maybe that will encourage more people to join us
