Talking Thuper Thursday

Hi All,

I decided on the PT job... at my old work.. Why? I dunno, but it was a lot of fun to work there before, the people seemed super nice plus she offered me a fantastic realistic "so I can still have some semblence of a social life" schedule. Laura was great and all, but even with the discount my expenses to work there would be high due to the cost of their clothes (including the discount) So i have to turn down another one... My Reitmans interview went well too... and now the Gap called for an interview... Oh well, I guess this is a positive problem to have. Oh and I start tonight.

Last night was the last run with my group, I didn't do too great with dinner, but that's okay... We have run for the cure on Sunday yah!!!!

Aimee: Awesome pic! You have great skin which I have heard model scouts love to see.

Cheers!

Ali

Hey Ali!! Good luck on your run - it's 10K? Woo hoo! I ran 5K in 38 min last year and for me, that was really fast...I am SUPER SLOW. But hey, slow and steady wins the race..!! Congrats on your decision re: the job. It's good that with this you know what you're getting! So you don't have to test the waters or spend time getting to know the culture, environment, etc.

Aimee - fun pic! I do "self photos" a lot too but mostly I make faces...I am a bit of a camera ham.

Well, I had an official step on the scale this morning....and....I MADE MY REVISED BBC CHALLENGE GOAL!! Yup, down to 215 - lost 3#!!!!! Yay me!!!! I was v. pleased. I credit my walks at lunch and my "grazing" in the afternoon (so I don't pig out after work). I have also been eating about 26pts/day, give or take, so I am not eating a whole lot of my flexpoints.

YAY!!! Tonight is my second dress fitting, so I hope the 3# pay off. I know it's not a huge amount but it can make a diff with me. At my last dress fitting I was up to 220 . So the total is 5lbs (yes, it was almost four weeks ago, but any amount down is still progress....right?)

OK that is my news for the day. My goal is to have another successful OP day and go for a walk at lunch again! I think it's safe to say I'll succeed!!

Going to change my sig now...adios amigas!

Lori: Forgot to say hi! how is Sara doing? I hope she feels better soon.

Jess: I'll find out soon enough, they are hoping the dyspasia heals itself... I hope so too, if not at least I know it's being cared for... They told me not to watch while they scraped so I didn't. But it seems kind of surreal... like the swab looks the size of a toilet brush on the screen.

Belle: yah! I have to face the music with the scale.. I doubt I am up a lot or anything, but the past few weeks haven't been the best and it's my bday this weekend so I doubt that will be great either (I refuse to refuse my own bday cake).

Kierie: I hope you'll feel better soon sweetie!

Hi Chicsk
I'm feeling a bit less funktastic
I got a call today from a recruiter that works specifically with people who have disabilities.
Part of my funk was reading that 70% of people living with a disability are unemployed. That gets a bit discouraging.
Granted I'm doing a fair amount of writing, I want to have a job to go too!
So at least I feel like something is moving!
Foodwise all I've had today is oatmeal but I'm going to pop some leftovers in old reliable (our microwave)
my MIL is lending me the SBD book I don't know if I'd want to do it but i figure its worth a read and might be good to shake things up a bit my skinny DH is not as skinny as he was and as there is heart trouble in both of our fams
we have to kick this in the butt!
ALI! 27 is a great age I loved it you will too!!

Belle - I'm totally addicted to pictures.. heh. My friend and I took close to 300 pictures in like a year, it was kinda sick! But totally fun.

Ali - Thank you I've been very lucky to always have good skin, and I totally abuse my skin too.. Good luck with your run, make sure you stretch.. tight muscles hurt!

I slept in this morning! Like insane slept in! I woke up at 8am to go pee (and kill a huge huge huge wolf spider), and then went back to bed until 10:45am! It was pretty nice, I love to sleep in I almost feel ready to clean today.. almost.. Now I have to eat! I'll bbl!

Aimee: I have bad skin, it's better, with make-up it mostly looks clear... darn acne, although have overly oily skin has its benefits... no wrinkles yet hehehehe. Good luck with pursuing the modelling, could you possibly try and see who your company hires to do the catalogues and such?

Kierie: hugs, I sometimes hate reading statistics since although the may reflect a situation, they don't take into account someone's individual drive and perseverence. In fact statistics like that may serve as a detriment and make some people not want to try. I lost weight against odds and last I looked I haven't gained back all my weight. You're smart and pretty and compassionate, you will find a job. Good Luck!

Kierie - what kind of job are you looking for? And even though I don't know whats going on, I do know that Statistics can lie.. people manipulate them to say what they want them to say.. and really... we are all the exception to that! Losing weight, they say the majority of people who lose it gain it back.. they say people who don't exercise don't keep off the weight.. stats annoy me.. but with the proper support you can do whatever you want to!
