Talking Labour Day Challenge!

Good morning everyone!

Time for another challenge to get ourselves moving- we start on August 1 and end on Labour Day!

This gives us 5 weeks to reach our mini goals

Mini-goal: 155lbs
Plan: Lower carb WW, increasing exercise to 30 minutes daily

Yey! My first challenge!
I’m losing slowly, so I think I’ll aim for a 1-pound-loss a week for the 5 weeks. I’m also starting with more serious weightlifting next week – so that will probably slow down the weight loss even more.
But anyhow -

Current weight: 190 lbs
Labour Day mini goal: 185 lbs
My plan: 1500 calories a day, increase proteins and vegetables. Keep exercising every day.
My reward: iPod mini (I'm thinking the blue one.... )

Labour Day Mini Goal: 190
Plan: to follow the food plan my trainer set up for me. Plus weights thrice weekly, plus cardio at least twice weekly.
Reward: a new coffee grinder.

Thanks Mauvaisroux! I'm ready for another challenge! I finally took my measurements again last night and found out that I have lost (in the past year) 1.5 inches off my hips, 1 inch off my calves, 1/2 an inch off my arms and 1-2 inches off my thighs! I'm thrilled. Plus 1 more pound gone! Yeah me! I want to continue on this path.

Your plan of action to reach that goal: continue journaling, staying on program, exercising and making the best choices while on vacation

Hows everyone doing? I don't know if I've lost any more since I haven't been on a scale in a while. I think I'm holding steady at 191. I have finally increased my exercise to 4 days a week and I actually walked 3 miles last week! I tried for a re-play last night but I only made it through 1 mile. I really want to meet my goal and keep going. I really would like to lose 10 pounds for my friends wedding on Sept. 25th so I can buy a cute new dress. Anyway, I just wanted to check in and see how you all were. I saw the message about Ellis being out for a while. I will be thinking about her and praying for her father. Take care chickies. I'm gonna go crawl inside my 2nd cup of coffee

I managed to stay on track for most of my vacation with just a few treats along the way- I did get plenty of exercise and when I got home I had stayed the same - I think I may have lost some fat weight but gained some muscle weight. My body shape has definetely changed for the better in the last 2 weeks

Okay, so I'm not sure what kind of weight goal I can meet by Labour Day other than making a firm decision to:
1.) Not overeat.
2.) Enjoy myself at the beach house w/ the kids and Himself and NOT order anything over-the-top when we eat out (eating the right food).
3.) Try and get some light exercise in, walking on the Pier or something. Walking the dogs.
4.) Not get to the hysterical point like I was today. (I had to drop a class in college because I was unable to get half-way across campus in the allotted 10 minutes between classes, and I was hurting myself trying to move that far, that fast. And I kind of lost it, emotionally.).

Let's see if I can be better to myself, eh? Reward: On my way to losing some weight, and getting fitted for a new velvet dress...

Well I only managed to lose 1 lb for the challenge Oh well back to it-and seriously this time! I want to have gotten to goal and have become a lifetime WW member by December 1! I also want to look good in my dress for DH's office party

I'm with ya Mauvaisroux. I haven't weighed in but I will tonight. I don't think I've lost any more. I injured my back so I haven't done any exercise this week. I'm going to try to take it easy and let it completely heal because I have a walk for charity next weekend. I hope I can make it since I haven't been able to train. I have a few mini goals. I want to lose 5-10 pounds before my companys 20th anniversary party Oct. 16th. Then I really want to lose SOMETHING by Christmas so I can buy some fun new clothes with my Christmas bonus. I'm trying to get my girlfriends at work to really jump in with me. So do u think we'll try for another challenge chickies?
