Wink Weekend Chat, August 28th and 29th

Good Morning,

Finally the week is done. I'm telling you, it was a hairy one w/interviews going on for a new boss for me, and just work in general.

But its Saturday and I'm sitting here sipping my enjoying the morning.

Whats everyone got planned for the weekend ? Anything Exciting ?

Hi Leenie!!!!

Nothing exciting for me really, just cleaning the house today and going through closets getting ready for the yard sale we are having next weekend, I am amazed how much stuff I am finding to sell! (and it gives sucha feeling of accomplishment to clean out all these areas of disorganization) Gonna list some stuff on Ebay today too. Then tomorrow kids are going to a party at my SIL house go DH and i will have the whole day together with no kids (yippppeeee) we are going out to lunch and then going to pick up and antique wardrobe and chair I bought from a friend and then thrift store shopping (yes to get more junk! hahahahaha) Actually we are looking for a dresser and some other furniture pieces, you can usually find some good things at the thrift stores here. Until the kids are more grown up I refuse to buy anything new since they are so hard on furniture.DH also finds things at thrift to sell on EBay.

So what an exciting weekend!! Whooooowhoooo!

Leenie: Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend!!

TG: Have fun w/out the kids!! Going to thrift stores sounds fun

Well, went to the fair last night. Not an OP thing to eat in sight...and I've got to admit w/all the walking around I did (and of course the "few" rides I went on) should have walked off what I ate (images of hamburgers, fries and nachos are running in my head). Not goin to worry about it. Today I've got oldest DD's party. Nope, not figuring it to be an OP day today either. I'm going to worry about being OP after my birthday. Make some MAJOR changes then! So for now I'm going to watch what I eat during the week (why does it seem easier to stay OP then?) and try and not go overboard on the weekend! OH!!! Guess what? DH and I are now on a bowling league. Want to know the funny thing about that? I suck at bowling I warned them It's every other Friday night. So should be interesting.

Not a whole lot of major stuff.. Just cleaning house and then going to a BBQ at my cousins for my other cousin who is leaving for Iraq in October. His mom is in town from CA and I havent seen her in 2 years so I am very excited to have her in town! She is my DD's God mother.

Other than that we are getting ready for school to start on Tuesday.. just last minute stuff!

Brenda! Bowling is great exercise! You will love it to just get out there and do it! And I know you will have fun with it too! (I suck at it as well! )

Karen: Hope your BBQ was fun!!

I made the mistake of stepping on the scale today Now I remember why I went on this WOE!! Definitely have to get back OP! I need to get to the store for food that I can eat. So tomorrow it'll be back on track again! I DEFINITELY have to get to total induction to get this weight I've gained off. Hopefully it's just water and will flush out of my system fast. I can't expect total induction for at least another week. That'll be enough time for after my birthday THEN I'm going to get serious (again) about losing this weight (again). I can't believe how fast it goes back on!!! Just proves I really can't eat all that stuff (which you'd think I'd have learned by now) and to watch what I eat and IF I do eat that stuff to do it in moderation and to jump RIGHT back on afterwards!!! Ok....onto trying to wake myself up. BD party was a success...and 1 girl is gone, 2 more to go

Good Morning,

Branda, there should be a law on how fast weight can be put on I have been having a really hard time staying OP on atkins. So I've tweeked it a bit. I'm eating all the veggies I want, I'm eating some fruits but I am staying away from potato's rice noodles, bread,..etc. I'm hoping to keep my calories down to 1200 - 1400 and carbs under 100. Even on atkins 100% I have to watch calories, bottom line for me. Sooo I will see at the end of next week if this way is better, if not then I'll try again to go on induction. Good luck on Induction for you !!! you can do it.

Well I'm gonna go and finish my laundry.

Hugs to you all, I think about you all very much and I'm sorry I can't spend more time here reading up on everyone.
