for your mom, Pookie! Let us know how she does with the storm, OK? It sounds like there will be a lot of wind and rain but not a hurricane when it's that far inland. Hopefully she'll be able to get back home soon (and not worry about you too much ).

Coincedentally, my DS is starting school in that area (Winter Park) later this month and we're heading down there on Wednesday -- hopefully there will be power in his new apartment! So I won't be around for your BIG DAY and am sending you all my love and best wishes early. Pookie -- my favorite Gym Hamster -- I know everything is going to go just fine for you and you'll be back here with us in no time at all. And there will be LESS OF YOU!

Pookie -- I found this story in the local Orlando paper about one of the shelters -- I wonder if there is where your mom is? If so, it sounds like she's in good hands. I hope you get to talk to her soon.

Glad your mom is safe, I'm sure it will all work out. My mother-in-law lives in Port Charlotte and had a tree go thru her roof, luckily she isnt home, they are in England on vacation, but what a mess to come home to!

How are you holding up otherwise Pookie?? Ready for wednesday??

I'm so glad your mom is safe. I'm so sorry I haven't replied before now. I've been working for the past several days. I hope she is able to go home soon.
