Post Brand New SB / Looking for Email Support

Hi my name is Lori, I just started South Beach yesterday. I lost about 60 pounds a little over a year ago doing Medifast. I now have 24 pounds back on am very depressed about it, I have been trying things since October and nothing has worked , so I have decided to give this South Beach Diet my very best inner effort! I am getting married May 22, and I have put this weight on since August, so I would like to at least take 24 off by May 22nd.

I am looking for someone else that just started recently and wants to share thought/ideas/recipes/email each other, some shared support. I am 40 years old, I have one son that is 12.

Lori

Lori,
I just started back on SBD yesterday. I need all the support I can get too - you'll find it here. I was desperate last year and found SBD to be an amazing diet. I went off it big time over the holidays and started fresh again yesterday - with about 11 lbs to lose. We can do this!! I am here for support & you will look fabulous and feel confident at your wedding. I find the 1st 2 wks the hardest, I get a weak feeling from having so few carbs. However, phase 2 is wonderful, so let's just get through until Feb 9th for our mini-goal.

Welcome, Lori. The Beach will be a lot more fun than Medifast, I'm sure. Pull up a towel and join us.

Welcome to the beach lori. You will get lots of support here. We have a great bunch of chicks who love to help each other with funny stories and tibits of info. So put on you sunscreen and lay out your towel and get ready to get healthy and make a bunch of great new friends.

Hi! I am also new on this diet. I started last friday and only had one slip up (3 glasses of red wine with dinner on saturday)
I dont know if I have lost any weight....my stomach feels flatter though....also I need to weight myself I will do it tomorrow!
I cant wait till the two weeks are up though because I am finding myself with very low energy for some reason.
Also did any of you all notice in the beggining a BIG appetite decrease at all??? I have I cant even finished a normal sized chicken breast and veggies I feel full right away!
Thank you for your support!

Default Welcome, Lori

Hi Lori and welcome to the SBD chicks. I too am very new (on day 4 now) to this diet and looking forward to losing lots of weight. My jeans are not as tight as they were on Sunday, but still tight.

Congratulations on your wedding and I hope that you will be nice and trim on that day. Best of luck and glad you signed in.

Hi! I am new as well, so new that i just bought the book last night and have not even started yet. I would love to get input and share back and forth. I will confess that I am nervous about starting.
