Good morning!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I feel better today. After sleeping on it all I think I am just going to go with it and see what the doctor says. If I have to have the Hysto, then I will! I dont go in until Dec 11. He wants to wait until after I have a regular TOM instead of just the spoting I have now... That way I will be a little more "Cleared out" so he can see what is going on. I will have my yearly pap that day too!

Good for all of you who are getting back on track! WOO HOO! Robin, I just saw your stats, BFL is doing great for you isnt it?! Great job!

I have a nice weekend planned! I get to stay HOME!! I am so excited. other than grocery shopping, I dont have any soccer games or birhtday parties to take the kids too! I cant tell you how good that feels! My kitchen is due for some fly lady action! LOL!

Talk to you all soon!

good morning. I was a lazy lay-about this morning. I slept until 7:00. I might have slept a few minutes longer, but one of my cats, Tippurr, thought I overslept and would be late for work. She sat outside the bedroom door meowing for 10 solid minutes until I got up. Who needs an alarm clock? So, I got up and when DH got home from work I fixed him eggs and bacon for breakfast. He went straight to bed because he has to go back in at 3:00 this afternoon. Tomorrow we leave for St. Louis right after having breakfast with Dad.

This is day 111 on Atkins and I reached another little milestone. Little milestones are what keep me going. I have a pair of shorts that I could wear about 5 years ago. Once a month since I started Atkins I have tried them on to see how close I was to buttoning them. Today I buttoned them AND zipped them up. All while standing up (not laying on the bed with a pair of pliers) and sucking my belly in. I could never wear them out in public this tight, but that's my next goal, to have them fit well. I figure another month or two. I want them to be way too loose to wear by summer.

Have a great day!

Karla

Quick check-in this morning.

We are well below freezing temp and I need to get out there and do some more clean-up. Would you believe the Girls' wading pool is still full and has ice on it!!!! I may just poke a hole in it to drain it and spend another $10 next summer rather than bail out freezing water!

It's so wonderful to have a sunny day!

Have a good weekend - MamaJ we want a full report. You too Fullfig Cinderella! Karen, you have a good attitude about a hyster, Maybe the fibroids will shrink as you get older. Mine did! Tippur, great milestone! I have a slinky black dress I must use for mine. RobinH, slow down! This is heading into your busy season so you need to pace yourself.

Have a super weekend.

Happy Saturday evening all. We are going out to dinner tonight for a change. I'd rather stay home and watch the hockey game but our neighbors want to treat us because Peter helped them so much when their basement flooded. I've been dreaming about steak and salad so it's a good thing we're going to a steak house. LOL Yesterday, I completed my 5th day of Fat Fast and this morning I was down 8 lb. Wooo HOOOO!!!! I'm very happy with that. Now, I'm increasing the calories to 1,200 a day and will try that for a few more days. I'm really missing veggies believe it or not. TOnight will be a minor cheat if I can just stick to steak and salad but, believe me, I really need it. Don't let anybody ever tell you Fat Fast is easy but it does get easier after the second day.
Today I had a net-chat with daughter in Scotland. She told me how to access MSN messaging and she turned her web-cam on. I was so thrilled to see her. She showed me her pregnant tummy and her cat, Molly. She goes in for a scan on Tuesday just to see what's what because she was due last Saturday. This grandma is getting anxious.

Karla, congratulations on the shorts!

Karen, I had a large fibroid and had a hysterectomy. I felt a load better when it was out. Good luck!

Angry Good morning!

It's a bit nippy here in Houston this morning----feels wonderful. But don't know if I'm ready for ice Ruth!

Stephen & Chad's b-day get together went nicely tho Stephen didn't arrive until bout 8:30. He was frustrated as he wanted to be here around 5, but it was nice. Not a morsel of food left over, well, except a bit of ice cream cake but stepson & his family will help Michael finish that off! I'm not touching it!

Michael went to deerlease with a friend over the weekend and dh ended up going to ours yesterday. I hung out w/Stephen & his friend until they had to leave. I was so darned exhausted that I straightened up a bit, checked a few emails and watched tv until i fell asleep around 9:00! Feel much better this morning

Wonder how the ball was last night? Waiting for details.

Wtg on those shorts fitting!!

And 8 lbs gone! whooohoo

Oops-need to run - I'll bbl. Have a terrific one!

Good Morning All

Linda~ how exciting!!! Webcams are a wonderful thing, you'll get to see your new grandchild !!! Way to Go on your 8lbs!!

We're off today to pick rocks again. I have only about 3 inukshuks left, and we found a really neat waterfalls with black shale all over the place. So we thought this would make for some nice inukshuks.

Ive gotten a new side table made and a mug tree which turned out really cool. I impressed myself mind you it doesnt stand up very well when I fill it with mugs (its about 4ft high) So Tuesday when I get back to the store I have to brace it a bit better.

We're also twig picking today. Ive still got to get a shelf built to put all my stock on. 2 or 3 shelves would be ideal, but we will see. I just might have to make due with creative merchandising

My fundraising is going pretty good, we've got one booked already!! Im so excited!! This is going to be a wonderful addition to the store. Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks we will have a web page for fundraising on hubby's website!!

Things are getting busier and busier, and Im loving it more and more everyday!!

Have a great Sunday everyone!!
Robin

Thank you, thank you....AND today I was still in ketosis. Not as deep as before but still in the purple range.

Well, about our dinner out last night. Our reservation was for 8 pm (couldn't get in any earlier). The place was very busy so it was after 9 before even the bread basket arrived. Meanwhile, I'm getting the clammy, sweaty shakes and sipping on a diet cola. I finally broke down and had a whole grain bun with butter because I thought I was going to pass out. Then Peter and I shared an appetizer ...mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese and spinach in a cream sauce. (my share was 3 mushrooms) I had a small steak with mushrooms and a Caesar salad on the side so, other than the roll that jumped down my throat, I think I did pretty good. I sure was eyeballing Peter's meal though. He had Kentucky style BBQ baby back ribs, steak-cut fries, cole slaw, corn bread and some kind of veggie. Drool drool.

Today, older daughter came out to use my photo-copier and have a wee visit. I made Cabbage Borscht in her honor because she loves it and sent a big container home with her. I even had a bit for lunch myself but I took mine out before adding the potatoes. She has lost so much weight just from cutting back...must be about 50 lb now and looks fantastic. I also made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies and sent most of them home with her for my grandsons. I didn't even have a nibble. I'm on a roll here.
Sounds like everyone is very busy, as usual.
Robin, how nice that your business is really taking off. I know how hard you've worked to make it a success. With Christmas on the way, you should be raking in the money. I really admire your creativity with the twigs and such.
Karla, way to go with the shorts fitting. You are on your way.

Also waiting to hear how the grand ball went.

Can anyone join this group?
I've been doing the Atkins plan because it restricts the carbs But I found the LA weight loss plan that my sister let me use and It's low carb also but tells you what you can eat and how much etc.
