Default ♥♥♥~*February Chat*~♥♥♥

Hi everyone!

February is here! I'm very happy about that since that means we're getting closer and closer to Spring!

Okay, I used to be a regular member on here on WW (off and on the old/new plan) before and got down to 150ish last summer but then I met a guy (now my boyfriend) and you know how that usually goes... I'm back now after seeing 185. I got the first 10 off doing South Beach but I realized I missed the flexibility of WW and I l̶i̶k̶e̶ need numbers so I joined online last Monday at 175. It was a bit hard doing the PP+ and I have used all but 2 or 3 of my weekly points

I'm glad to see some "old" faces as well as some new!

I hope everyone had a good day since it's Superbowl, the second largest food celebration next to Thanksgiving, or so I read/hear! I had two bourbons with diet soda and a small helping of nachos with chips. I definitely did better than last year so I'm proud of myself for doing good.

I do recall you. By the way, I like the South Beach way of eating quite a bit. It is perfectly possible to use WW to count points, but eating according to South Beach principles.

Hi everyone! I'm back too after an extended period of time. Got to my goal of 150 back in February of 2011. I maintained for almost two years until I severely twisted my ankle in February of 2013, among other things. I got lazy and depressed and stopped cooking at home.

I periodically joined WW here and there over the last 2 years but never was very consistent with it. I like the prior point system better and that's what I was on when I originally lost the weight. Free fruit really doesn't do much for me and the wine points really hurt But, since I started 1/12 I have lost almost 10lbs so I guess I'm doing something right!

Goals for this week-
-Pack lunch everyday
-Dinner at home at least 4 nights
-Pilates on Thursday

Koshka- I like the SB way of eating too, so I am sticking with that 85-90% of the time and I did lose 10lbs on it but I felt weird not tracking anything, lol. :-)

Jelma- Welcome back! Yes, the alcohol points have gone up for sure, my bourbon is 5. It's definitely a new learning curve for me with the PP+ system. Congrats on your progress so far!

Koshka - I definitely set a lot of goals. I have a slew of daily ones just cause it helps keep me positive, which makes me want to keep on track for the good feelings. Mini-goals for life!

Flickety_switch - A loss is still a loss! Don't get frustrated cause it wasn't more, celebrate what it is You've been doing so awesome.

amandie - Welcome, and congrats on your losses! Always glad to see new faces (I'm relatively new myself, so everyone is new to me!). You did much better than me with Superbowl munchies too.

Jelma - Welcome, and congrats on your losses too! Sounds like you've got a great set of goals for this week.

I weighed in at 227 this week. .8lbs down from last week despite me eating all my weeklies plus some yesterday. I was really bad at the Superbowl party, and I didn't save all my weeklies for the one day. Oh well! Back on track today, and was happy to still see a dip in the scale.

Hi all. I am so itching to get back on WW!!! I have to wait till the baby arrives in April, but I'm so excited. I've been on Pinterest looking up recipes and I've got my fitness routine all planned out. I am trying to make good choices until then :-)

Hi friends! Wondering if you can help me pick something WW friendly from this menu http://www.thecremornehotel.com.au/i..._2014-2015.pdf. Meeting a girlfriend tonight and don't want to dip into my weeklies as I'm also going out another night and will probably eat a few then.

Keen to have something substantial as I've only eaten eleven points today between lunch and breakfast and snacks so not sure I'd be satisified by a salad.

Considering the stuffed chicken or the calamari. Would love to have grilled gummy shark and the hot chips but don't think I can fit that within the fifteen points I have today. Any other suggestions for something that you think would be fifteen points or less?

Poached salmon and panzanalla salad might be. Would just not eat the bread.

Maybe the chicken salad depending on ingredients, would probably skipped the olives.

Grilled Calamari is probably fine.

Maybe the marinated beef salad

maybe the small filllet although you probably couldn't eat all of it.

Another option is to order one of the starters and eat as an entree

So this recipe has beer battered fish and chips, and is 13 points. http://www.food.com/recipe/beer-batt...09/review?pn=2
One serving is a half pound of cod. Which is about 227 grams, Cod is 2 PP for 100 grams. So the fish makes up about 5ish points of that. From what I'm finding about Gummy Shark (here) It's around the same points value as the cod. Has more protein and less fat per 100 grams. If you're getting grilled over beer battered the points will be even lower, unless you meant the burger. I would say get the gummy shark if you want to. Maybe do a salad over the chips to be on the safe side.

Good Morning, all! Hope everyone is doing well. The Super Bowl/bourbon killed me with WW. I didn't track a damn thing either. And then yesterday, well, that was all hangover food, which isn't pretty either. I'm moving on today though!

I lost another 1.8lbs on Saturday. The scale is stupid high (as in +8lbs) this morning because I ran 8.3 miles on Sunday (long distance running causes huge scale spikes for me), all the sodium and crap from the past two days, and also TOM is here.

________

Welcome back Amandie and Jelma - I remember both of you!

Sun - Yay for 227! At least we are both back on track now!

Flickety - hope dinner went well!

Hi, everyone! I'm feeling great I'm back on the gym grind and I've decided to just put aside my scale for now. There is no need for me to stress myself out with weighing, just keep working out and eating my allocated points. I'll get there.

I also found and bought a wedding dress this weekend!

So I skipped my weighin today. I know bad, our location has multiple days and times you can go. So I am planning on going Thursday morning. I just have not lost the sodium weigh from the weekend, wanted a few extra days. I will not skip Thursday but next weekend will be bad again ( girls weekend away) so that is likely a Thursday weigh in as well. Just using the flexibility my group gives me.

Thanks everyone, I'm happy to be back and see familiar faces

I made Skinnytaste's Jalapeno Popper Chicken last night with black bean salsa (I think you posted a link to it recently Sunarie). It was probably the best thing I have ever eaten, so. freaking. delish! My bf said it is number 2 on the list of his favorite that I make, the first being Ming Tsai's recipe for Chicken Thighs with Parsnips. Of course that is his favorite since it has skin on, bone in thighs! I forgot how much I really enjoy cooking, for the past couple of years I had been so inconsistent with it. Tonight is grass fed burgers with roasted red potatoes and hopefully burnt carrot salad, I need to run out and get feta for it.
