Second half of the baseball season.
It's time to start a new thread, the other one is getting very long.
All Star Break about to start and we have some surprises in the standings.
Pirates first place in the Central, Andrew McCutchen is a beast. I've seen him play against us. That last series we played against the Pirates I said just intentionally walk him. He is a well deserved All Star.
Who would have thought the Phillies would be in last place.
And look how well Baltimore is doing.
So come in and chat about baseball and have some fun.

A new thread is just what the Disabled Sox need - the last thread seemed to be hobbling their style.
A fresh start.
Let by-gones be by-gones.
Today is the first day of the rest of the season.
Fenway Franks continue to be rated as one of the best hot dogs in major league baseball.

I am kind of ho-hum about the All Star games, but I'll probably watch anyway. I just don't like that a rookie, like Bryce Harper, will go and he hasn't played a full season of major league baseball. It's just because he is a media highlight story, good or bad, waiting to happen. Ugh.
Well, that was probably a clown question bro....

Hey the Red Sox are back at 500, so it is like starting a new season...
Bits and Pieces:
Carl Crawford will need TJ surgery but will try to play this season, huh ?
Youkilis named AL Player of the Week...
Taking a break now
Enjoy the AS Game
Go AL ! Sox will need the home turf

THAT alone got more publicity than it should have!
Not big on the All-Star game either. I will probably see some of it but Angie and I are taking our Vicar and his wife out for a nice Italian dinner since they leave end of this week for his last year in the seminary.
Oh, and nothing against Bryce and he has all the "tools" to be a great one...but All-Star worthy for his performance and time put in this year....nope!

Oh Well. Home field advantage is so over rated.
[Note to Self: Just put away a few extra Fenway Franks in advance.]
