  • It's about to start.

Get your check books out. Who's going to get paid too much?

    Where's my baseball buddies?

Could one of the mods fix the typo in the title and close the playoff run thread? Thanks.
  • The Nation has signed David Ortiz for another year as designated hitter.

    All is well.
  • Butter up for some basrball!
  • My guys seem to think a second level pitcher and a back-up catcher is all we need...

gonna be a long season in 2011

Where's the mods when you need them?
  • Well we have a huge albatross hanging over our heads.

Albert's contract will be up after next year. He wants to be signed a Cardinal for life and has said so just last week. How much, who knows and for how long?
  • It is going to be interesting to see what my rag tag team of misfits will do. I know that they told "the panda" to shape up before spring training. Don't know what they will do with the rest of them. Quite a few, like Buster Posey, are free agents.
  • Thank you for starting the thread Clydegirl...

Boston better pull out their checkbooks and keep Beltre.. I'm so happy they kept Papi...
OK... how many days till Spring Training...
  • So are the Red Sox going to get in the bidding war for Cliff Lee?

There's an awful lot of rumors here about Colby Rasmus. In my opinion we need to keep him. He's cheap and young.
  • Well, so far, I've heard that the Rockies traded Miguel Olivo for "a player to be named later". ugh.
  • As far as Cliff goes, Boy, I would expect the Sox to be in the running...
If the Yankees get him the 'Nation' will lose their minds...
  • Did you hear??? No more Joe Morgan and Jon Miller on Sunday night baseball on ESPN. I'm happy! How about you?
  • I was so happy when I read that this morning! Even better Orel Hershiser is taking Joe (I WILL REPEAT EVERYTHING 20 TIMES.....I WILL REPEAT EVERYTHING 20 Times....X 10) Morgan....

I liked Jon Miller. I could not stand Joe Morgan! "I wouldn't have done it that way." "When I played......"
  • I, too, am a Jon Miller fan...sorry to see him go...but I guess he still may be on radio for the Sunday night game...not that I would ever listen.
