Just on my second day of the Meta slim plus 3 meal plan and I've been struggling to eat all this food. Even drawing it out to the 45 mins I was told I could us is still not enough time. Breakfast is the only meal that doesn't seem hard. I know the reasoning behind all the food, I'm just wondering if anybody else had this issue.
It took me a couple of days to get used to. I was moved down to MetaSlim Plus Level 2 - which only drops the morning snack. Not sure at what point the protien gets lower. I think when I reach 250, I will be moved down to Level 1, which will drop the afternoon snack.
Anyway, it's still hard for me to eat all the food sometimes but I tell myself that I'm eating it for a reason and my body needs it.
I don't have any level on my sheet, at least not that I see. Yea I keep telling myself eat more to lose more. 6 oz of protein is a lot with all the other stuff. I need to buy heavier food I guess. Thank goodness I don't have snacks to deal with, I don't think I could do it.
They moved me to the green menu--when the 6oz of protein goes to 4oz.--at about 210. Normally they wait until you're closer to 200, but I was at a significant plateau, so the thought that might bring me out of it. I still have the same veggies though, the only change was the protein. (there aren't any snacks on the green menu either, but I've never had snacks on my menus)
This time I started on green menu, but last time I did beige first, and yes, I did have problems then. They moved me at about 210, too, because I asked to move so i wouldn't have to eat as much. It worked out fine. Mention it to them and see what they say. You could always try green for a week and see how it goes.
I think the snacks are on the higher up weights. I know JenB or someone typed out what menus go with what weights. Not sure what thread that is in. I'm kind of anxious to drop my afternoon snack.. I sometimes forget it all together and by the time I get home, I scarf down 4oz. of Cottage Cheese or 1oz. Cheese and then have dinner like an hour later. Or I just don't eat anything. Funny I'm typing this now because at 4pm, I got up and went to the fridge, here at work, to get out my 4oz. of Cottage Cheese and about 4:45pm realized I hadn't even eaten it. Oooppss!
Only 5.5lbs away from going down to the next level. I know I'm not getting there before my FL trip this Friday.. but when I get back, I'll so be signing the 80lb board and getting my new menu

I started Green Menu yesterday. I am one of those people that never ate but once a day so moving to three times a day was a struggle. I cut down on portion sizes so much b/c I was forcing myself to eat three times a day. NOW they expect us to eat allllll this food. 2oz of hard cheese is a ton, not to mention 8oz of LETTUCE lol. I am struggling just a bit right now too !
I'm on week 4 and still having trouble eating all the protein if it's meat I'm eating. 6oz of meat is a lot to eat. Some days I just can't eat it all. My gag reflex kicks in and if I eat another mouthful it's all gone. I told my husband last night I can't wait until I get to 200 or whenever it is they drop the protein. I'll also go through the produce with him and tell him no that is not a heavy veggie...dangit look for heavy veggies. lol
Fluffy - have you tried mixing proteins? The center doesn't want you to do it often, but you can do it. Like I will have 3oz Tuna and mix it with 3oz cottage cheese. Or 3oz turkey, grilled chicken with 1.5oz of cheese.
Also - I think I'm playing a mind game with the lettuce. I was buying the bags of iceberg lettuce and that does look like a lot... but now I'm buying the shredded iceberg lettuce and when I start eating it.. it doesn't seem like too much. Another tip if you just can't eat all that lettuce/salad... do 4oz. raw veggie & 2oz. cooked veggie. Or you can do 4oz. raw veggie and 1 scoop of the Veggie or Fruit/Veggie Drink. I was drinking the Veggie drink but I bought the Fruit/Veggie drink and love it! I mix it with my HNS and it thickens it up a bit and kinda makes it like a smoothy. You can do the 4oz Veggie & Drink up to 6 times during the week. This has been helpful at lunch and then I eat cooked veggies at dinner.
I've been mixing proteins all along. They haven't said anything about not doing that, but I also don't do it every day. It's just that I'm not used to eating that much food. I'm not sure what you are referring to as the veggie/fruit drink. Is that one of theirs?
Yes, they have a Super Veggie Drink - with 2 scoops it replaces your veggie serving or with 1 scoop it's 1/2 veggie serving. The Super Fruit & Veggie Drink replaces your fruit or veggie serving. The container says 1 scoop - I forgot to ask my center about this. Wondering if it's only 1 scoop, if I should do 1/2 scoop if I'm using to replace the other portion of my veggie. I will keep you posted.
They also recommend you have 1 scoop each day because it has so many nutrients in it but you don't have to. I don't.
