I have not cheated once which I am very proud. I even took the kids to the the movies yesterday and never even took a morcel of popcorn I packed a bar and some dill pickles and veggies. here's to week 2!

Have a great Monday everyone !

Good Morning Everyone!
I had my 6th WI on Saturday and to my surprise I dropped 2 more pounds. I thought the scale was not going to move this week and I was fine with it, but this sure is a lot better. This week is going to be challenging because I'm going to a teachers' conference Wednesday and Thursday, but I plan to bring my IP meals and try to find a restaurant with IP friendly menu. I'm positive and determine to make it work. Have a wonderful day! God Bless you all!

Well I woke up Sat morning and was down to 171.5 !!!! woo hooo then went out for a bite of sushi.........i KNEW it would go back up and I think it is the salt content in the food.... I only had 6 pieces of the sushi itself, and chicken breast (teriyaki) on the side... 4 pieces of crab.... but it MUST be the salt...cause it never fails! today 173.5 so STAYING 100% on track this week as I want to be in those '60's before xmas !!!!!!

I can totally relate. I had a awful sinus infection for 2 weeks (no voice, sore throat) and took antibiotics for 10 days. Two days after being off the antibiotics, it came back with vengeance. I'm trying to get back into the Dr. today to get, at least, my ears cleared up before I fly on Friday.

I had a hard time finding sugar-free cough drops that were both sugar-free and not a lot of calories. Halls Sugar-free made with sucrolose (Splenda) are 30 calories each. I did find some at the organic grocery store that are made with sucrolose that are only 12 calories, but they don't really coat the throat, just keep the mouth watering.

I hope you feel better. Be sure to try and get some food in, even if it is just jello.

Oh come on. As if that weren't enough, a gecko got through the crack where I didn't close the screen door; the cat's after it; and if it gets packed in the stuff I'm shipping to Berlin I'll be put in jail for introducing an alien species.

After, after thought. The gecko has disappeared. The 18-year old cat can't jump up onto the dinning room table (the only place his food is safe) because there's a box on the chair he launches from. But he tried. The packed box is now on it's side; the contents are akimbo; the cat's in a huff; and the puppy's barking his fool head off. I quit.
Oh, Linden, when it rains it pours. I feel for you. Our little furr balls can keep life entertaining, yet drive us crazy at times. I hope all this move hassle goes quickly for you.

Then I looked at my WW starting log from 2008 (only went to 1 meeting because I only saw the scale drop .2 pds. ) it said 187. I have not lost any since then just gained, so to see that I weigh less now then I did starting at WW back then is amazing to me.
I had a "peer pressure" moment this weekend. My friend brought mamosas and was trying to get me to drink them and kept asking me to. I just stood my ground and said I've come this far, I don't want to have a drink that will make me feel like crap waste that much money.
What an awesome NSV. Little boys can be so sweet and loving. My nephews are amazing like that too. It just melts my heart. Congrats on standing your ground with your friend, that alone is another NSV to have the will-power to hold your own against peer pressure.

Could it be associated with IP!
If you are suffering from gas issues it very well could be the veggies and higher than your body is used to protein. Digestive enzymes work wonders for this. If you don't want to pay the price for the IP ones, GNC sells 100 count jars for around $12, currently on sale buy one get one 50% off. I use 1 at meals where it is just a protein, 2 at meals with protein and veggies. I had my gall bladder removed 4 yrs ago and they have been a lifesaver for dealing with veggies.

Your pictures has to be 110 by 150 pixels or smaller or 19.5 KB in size (whichever is smaller). If you don't have a good program for editing. Paint.net is a free program you can download. It has a great resize feature along with a way to see how big it is before saving it so you can downsize it as needed.

Hello all!

I've been trying to find information on the IP diet. Seems to work well. I've lost 28 lbs in the past 3 months counting calories basically and running, but now my body is starting to FIGHT me for every pound! So...I think I need a change. I've done Atkins in the past with great success, but eventually I miss my fruit, potato and nuts, give in and go completely nuts!

I'm 43 and feel this is my LAST time around the block so I'm in for keeps this time.

Was hoping that someone here could help guide me to info about this diet. Do you think it's a good diet for a runner? I'm assuming you all exercise at least 3-4 times/week, or for those who do, do you have energy issues on this diet?

Lastly, do you think this diet is good for the "last" few pounds of weight loss...you know...the kind that your body FIGHTS to keep?

Thanks all for any help you can give me.

I have a question regarding the weight goal. I currently have mine set at 130. I'm 47 years old. After I drop 90% of the 43 pounds, I will change to phase 2. According to the program I stay on this phase until I will drop the rest of the weight. What if after reaching 130 I feel like dropping 10 more pounds and change the goal to 120? Do I have to go back to phase 1 or should I stay on phase 2?

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and from the above posts it appears that's just what you all have done.

I am excited as my weight is now the lowest in about 10 years. I hope to hit the 160's decade before Christmas and maintain that until the New Year and then hit goal.

This program works even with all the challenges and esp the no fruit and wine. My daughter asked if it was really worth it as she was enjoying a glass of wine after supper at our place. grrrrr I wanted to tap dance on her head and yell....can't you see how worth it, it is?I havent' felt or looked this good in years.

Good morning. I go WI tomorrow and I'm nervous that scale isn't going to be good to me this week. I've had a rough week. Has anyone ever noticed if they had a bad night sleep that the scale goes up. I have to go to a business lunch at Tim Horton's and thought the only thing I could do is have the Chili for lunch and then a protein package for supper. Any other ideas
