Default Monday Has Arrived :)

So what is new with everyone I haven't posted in months. I am doing horribly eating wise and am at 189 or so. I am not going to bring that negativity onto the boards though b/c today is a new day and I am sitting at my desk eating delicious oatmeal and beginning to count points for the first time in forever! It is always excilting to get back in the right mindset.

JKarr- The wedding is March 21st. I cannot wait!!!

Horseygirl(sorry forgot names) - KT Maybe?? Anyways, Sorry about the b/f problems but it sounds like you guys are on the right track with some counseling.

I will post to everyone later but I wanted to get the thread rolling for today b/c I am finally back in the office a bit more and will be able to post with you guys

I will check in soon

Becky

Red face Good Morning

Hi ladies. I wasn't around Friday...Aaron was pretty sick. He was running a fever of 103 and throwing up. It was lovely! But he's all better now, and I'm glad. I hate to see him not feeling well.

I am going with Becky on the recommit route. I have been so "go my own way" lately. I can't seem to get it through to myself that this is a lifestyle change, and that I'm NOT entitled to take vacations from it whenever I so choose. But I think if I knew how to get that through to myself, I'd also have achieved world peace by now. Reguardless, I am back on track. I will be journaling every day, and religiously counting points.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was mostly cleaning and organizing for hubby'd dad and stepmom to visit on Thurs. That should be a fun visit -- they are just awesome people! Can't wait to hear about everyone else's exciting weekend!

Default Happy Monday! (????)

Hi all! I got so busy last week, that I missed Wednesday - Friday on the board. Let me tell you that I know I need to be 'in contact' with you guys everyday of the week, because me eating & journaling this past week was NOT very good.

Hi Becky! Nice to meet you.

Hi Jayne! Hope Aaron is feeling better.

I worked all weekend & I am pooped! It's 10 AM and I haven't even gotten ready to go to work yet. Thank goodness my boss is understanding. I'll be in by 11:30 AM. I'm pretty sure we don't have any phones anyhow as the whole college is moving over to a new phone system today.

I'll post more later ... since all I'll have is the Internet! And that's a BAD thing???

PS - I was down .2 this week. Goes to show that journaling DOES pay off!!!!

Default Good Morning!

Not that there's ever anything good about a Monday morning...

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty good, I didn't do as well with the eating as I had hoped to on Saturday, but I think I more than made up for it by taking a 5-mile walk early yesterday morning.

I don't know if I mentioned this on Friday, but I was up 2.3 lbs at WI on Thursday. I'm really not too stressed about it because last week was such a terrible week and I was kind of eating just for the sake of eating. Plus, the week before TOM always shows an increase. I'm putting extra effort into this week and I think WI will be a good one for me.

Becky--Hello there! I was wondering what happened to you. What do you think of your Winsor Pilates tapes? I got Pilates for Dummies and I really like it as a supplement to my regular workout. Glad to hear that all is going well with wedding planning. Do you have a picture of your wedding dress? I think you showed it to us, but I can't remember... I know we'd all like to see it.

Jayne--Sorry to hear your little sweetie was so sick. Poor little cutie! It's nice to hear that you're actually looking forward to a visit from the in-laws, most people don't. I know if I ever marry my current BF, I will dread (and probably forbid) visits from the in-laws. His mom is seriously nuts. People think I'm just being sarcastic and maybe exaggerating a little bit, but she's seriously in need of a psychological evaluation. And his dad and brother are both jerks. BF and his sister are the only ones who may turn out OK.

Deb--Congrats on your loss this week! Yes, I think that journaling does make a difference (which is why I'm determined to do it this week).

Talking about BF reminded me--last night, BF said to me "Maybe if you moved to Omaha, we could get a place together." I think I'd love to live with him, but it's just not going to happen. I like living where I am and he's not willing to move here, so we're probably not going to end up getting a place together. Besides, I just moved about 3 months ago and don't want to go through it again.

OK, I gotta get some work done (really need to bust my a** this week). Will probably check in later!

Hey all... I had to work this weekend, so I didn't really do much besides that. Emma had to come with me because I didn't have a babysitter. I also started making a flower bed border for the side of the yard by the yucky neighbors. Need to buy dirt at noon!!!

Jayne... oh I am so glad that Aaron is better. Hate those sick days when you can't do anything for them!!! Oh and I am super tried, but now am getting crampy, so my hopes are quickly getted dashed!!!!

Becky, welcome back!

Deb...No phones are awesome!!!!

Jess... You can get back on track after that gain!!! I know you can!

OK, training the new receptionist. I hate turnover, so we'll see what happens. So far so good, just time consuming.

Deb - congrats on your loss! Things are starting to really roll for you, loss-wise!

Jess, I'm so proud of you for being an independent girlfriend. Do you know how many friends I have who would have jumped to move in with BF for all the wrong reasons? I'm so glad you do things for YOU and no one else. BTW, I have a completely psycho mother-in-law in need of psychiatric evaluation, too...of course my thinking this may very well be why I get along so famously with her ex-husband and his current wife!

Jen, I hope the receptionist training goes well. Don't let a little cramping dash your hopes too soon...could be traveling/implantation (hope that's not too graphic for everyone) and that causes cramping sometimes. Or it could just be intestinal cramps. I'm not ready to give up just yet!

Kier, I was thinking too last night that they weren't hiding things as well as they had in previous weeks with SJP's pregnancy. Carrie has so much more self-control that I do...I would have slapped that biatch in a heartbeat! Ok, no I really wouldn't have, but I like to pretend that I would have had the courage to do things like that! I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well...tell sis to suck it up and do her share because you are too sick to be bothered with her. Another thing I would like to pretend I would say, but I never would, being too much of a wimp. Sounds to me like lunch boy might be in LU-HUV!!!!!!

Hi girls,
OKay, so I have very little time today, and my routine is starting up again. First day of classes! I plan on working in the morining, and then classes in the after noon. I give myself enough time to come home, cook lunch, and pack it to take with me.
Today is a veggie burger and steamed veggies. More lik ethat's all I have, and I have to limit my points because last night I thought that a 3 musketeers bar and two hershey minituries wouldn't kill me. So Iate 20 points last night! UGH!

So, my routine will hopefully stick this time.. work, come home.. write to you all.. class, workout (hopefully... yikes!)

I want to reply to all later.. because rushingn gives no tiem for anyone. Hope all are having a great Monday though!

Lucy

Hey Girls!

Becky - glad you're back. I know you can get back OP!

Jayne - so sorry that Aaron was sick. I saw SITC for the first time last night and LMAO! Too bad I don't have cable and can't watch regularly.

Deb - congrats on the .2. Journaling does help as I need to begin again myself (haven't the last 4 days).

Jess - glad you didn't let one rough WI get to you. Smart move not agreeing to live with BF just because he asked but must be nice to know that he's that serious about you.

JenL - what kind of flowers are you going to put in the new bed? Maybe something noxious that will invade the yucky neighbors yard?

Kier - sorry you don't feel well. Keep us updated re: lunch boy.

Remember my whole Christian vs. Sean delimna earlier this summer? Well, Saturday, I went to a wedding as Christian's "date". I'd bought I little black dress to wear as the reception was FANCY and had gotten my nails and hair done. I thought the poor man's eyes were going to pop out of his head when he saw me - the look on his face was one of the best compliments I've ever gotten! A lot of our friends were there (including the oh so hot Sean) and we all had a wonderful time at the reception. So much fun that we ended up at a martini bar afterwards. I indulged in a most delicious rasberry martini and don't even want to think about the points (all of the dancing wore them off....right?!?) Also, I accidentally kissed Christian....several times.....all of them accidents I assure you! Turns out the guy is a great kisser.......this could be bad.....

Must work.

Later,

Laura

Thanks Jayne, I am glad you are rooting for me. Supposed to get period around Friday-ish. Took a test this morning because I am impatient... no go!!! We'll see I guess. ANd it is definately not intestinal.... wrong kind of cramp!!

As for MIL's...... I AM WITH YOU!!! Mine is veyr hot and cold and we usually butt heads a lot. She calls my daughter her baby..... HUH!!! Also, she made me cry at my wedding rehearsal dinner... long story!!! RIght now we are cold. I think she is off her anti-depressant drugs. Not good. I have been staying away, that is the best remedy. Oh and Hubby doesn't really get along with her either, and she is his mother!!!

KO... Have some chicken soup and get some rest!!!

Laura -- I just have to know...how do you accidentally kiss someone several times? Did you both have magnetic posts in your tongue??? I must know, since I live my single life through you!

Jen, I think you should plant sunflowers in that spot -- they make a great "wall". I think we should get the MIL together and they can have a *****fest...do you know that she gets my Christmas presents from the dollar store and leaves the tags on? She's a wealthy woman, too...I can't figure out if she honestly doesn't think I'll know/care or if she's trying to tell me something...

I've gotten to briefly read through. I just had lunch w/ my best friend and it was so nice!
I also just had a BIG brownie! UGH! Talk about self sabotage. It's because I have not journaled & prepared myself - I'm a slacker & could have totally walked away from the brownies.
After something like this, I always have to tell myself that the best thing about is WW is that one second after being OFF PROGRAM, you can be ON PROGRAM.

Jen - Best wishes to you. I know that the anticipation is hard - keep us informed. I agree w/ Jayne .... BIG, BRIGHT, HAPPY SUNFLOWERS need to be planted to keep those pesty neighbors at bay.

Laura - Hmmm ... interesting ... "accidental" kissing? Glad to hear you had a great time. It's so cool to hear that you 'wowed' Christian. You go girl! Priceless ~

Kier - How are things going w/ the boyfriend? Did I read that you two were going to counseling? Good for you! I hope that you make progress. My thoughts are with you as I know it's not easy to work through relationship troubles.

Jayne - How is that baby boy feeling? When my son get's sick he's so unlike himself. He gets very quiet & chills out on the couch all day long & he's a snuggle bunny. I remember being that way when I was little too. I always felt better on the couch.

Hello to everyone else. Looks as though I'm posting late in the day ... once again.

I'm feeling not so bad about myself for eating that brownie. I digress (& digest ... tee-hee).

Talk to you all tomorrow~
Hello to anyone I missed replying to!

I some how missed Laura's post.... Too cool on the accidental kissing. Tho, didn't you like Sean? What's up with that saga??

Jayne and Deb... believe it or not, I already have a six foot section of sunflowers. My dad built a cage like fence for them so they don't fall over. For the new bed I already planted 2 lilac bushes that aren't supposed to get super tall. I am also going to plant some lilies (love them). Not sure what else. I am only planting a little this fall and will plant the rest next spring. I also want to plant some wildflowers like black eyed Susans and Cone flowers and maybe some tall grasses.

I also bought 2 blueberry bushes that I am putting by my garden, but they card says that in 7 years they could get 6 feet wide. How is that for a border!!!!!

I still have my fingers/ toes and everything else crossed for the PG thing. You will either hear my screams of joy or my shreik of anger!!!

Oh and 11 days until vacation. YIPPPPEEEE

Jen ~ what a little gardener you are!!!
Your yard is going to look beautiful ~
Black-eyed susans are great ... low maintenace & so pretty. And the Lilac bushes are going to be so fragrant.
My sisters yard in NH is full w/ fruit trees & bushes ... all kind of berries, peaches, apples, etc.
