Good morning to all
It is start over day for me. I shudder to think how much I would have gained if I had gone out for breakfast each day. i stayed with my one banana. But it looks like I am up almost 7#. Unbelieveable.
i know what Nita meant about keeping people together. I also felt like a mother hen but it was very hard for us and we had a small group. But some had a problem getting there at time we set. But we still did ok. Everyone enjoyed but they all left early so they would not get home too late. Next year they are staying Fri and Sat so they can go home the next day.
Oops Time to leave for work. Hope all have a good day

Exclamation Good morning

WEll, it is a cool but sunny day here in North Carolina. Supposed to get up to the 70's, so should be a good day. I have not been doing too well the past 3 days. I stay on plan for most of the day, then blow it in the evening. Last evening i was hungry because of poor choice for dinner. On Sundays, I don't have dinner until after church, so that is around 8:30. I also take care of my 9 year old niece, Rebecca all weekend, so she and I occasionally stop for fast food Sunday evening. Last night I had a piece of Long John Silver's fish and a Krispy Kreme Donut. I was still within my points, but the lack on nutrition left me hungry within an hour. I got out the graham crackers, low fat. Good move. But, proceeded to eat way too many. Bad move. Well, it is a new day, and I am on plan so far. lol, haven't even had breakfast yet!

CoCo, did you get that storm? I think I am going to look at the library to see if either of those books you spoke of are available. I am a reader, but haven't really tried reading any motivational books. Perhaps it will give me the kick I need. I was doing well for awhile, and now seem to be drifting to a less motivated mode.

Wendy, Thank you for the information about the football fields. I am doing a program on exercise on Thursday and will use that. is it ok to take an m&m for each person as a visual aid, or, since it is food, is it taboo? I also like what you said about being better off than you were a year ago. I have to keep that in mind when I get discouraged. Yesterday I put on a dress I bought last spring, and, though I could still wear it, it was definitely very lose, even a little baggy in the shoulders and sleeves. The style will allow me to wear it this spring anyway. Wendy, how old is Brandon. I am sure you have said at some point, but I either missed it. or forgot. I am thinking he is about 3, but not sure where I got that idea.

Nita and Wanda,So glad you enjoyed SRD. I regret not going to ours. No one from our chapter could go, so I chose to not go alone. NOw hearing you gals talking about how encouraging it has been for you, I wish I had made the effort to go.

Eleni, Wow, what a disaster in your motel room! It is so sad that you had to deal with that. Sort of takes the glow off the trip, doesn't it? I hope you are able to get back on plan and destroy some of those extra calories you ate while away. Sure is good to have you back on the boards again, missed you while you were away. Maybe you can get a bathing suit in a smaller size now?

Well, today is the day I projected to start my water aerobics. All weekend my arthritis was more painful than usual, and my back was also painful, which is unusual. I thought I might not be able to try the water thing. But this morning, I think i feel a little better, and am doing my laundry. If I can get that done I will attempt the aerobics. The class is at 12:30, and it is only 9:15 and i have my laundry partly done. One more load to wash, 2 more to dry and I am finsihed. So, I will report tomorrow if I made it (and survived it!!)

I hope each of you have an op day. Mary ann

Default HI

Good Morning Ladies
Hope everyone is doing ok. We survived the storm. It didn't get as bad here as they thought it. would. But did have some high winds, nasty lighting and thunder. Some friends of ours were on their way home last night. Got about a hour from home. And they got into the storm. He pulled under a underpass. They got into some hail that was golf ball size. Said there was some cars that got the windsheilds busted for it. So lucky they didn't get any car damage or get hurt. They made it home safely. They are the ones we were doggie sitting for.

Mouch Hope the water exercise goes well for you. I am also going to do clothes today. I haven't started yet. But will. Was lazy yesterday and didn't do my dishes. So had to do them.

Christian WELCOME BACK!! I did miss you. These computers can be something else. Know we have been having some trouble also. But alot of ours is the internet company. But of course they say it isn't. But to many people that is using it are having the same trouble. I have talked to my neighbors and they are having the same troubles that I am. But it isn't the companys fault. But I do believe it is working a little better than it was. So we will see. Thanks for joining the menu thread.

Eleni Hope you had a good day. I know you will get back on track. You have it in you to do this. You are doing great. Just drink alot of water. Keep that little tidy bowl man busy.

Sherri How are you doing? I am sure you are OP. You have been doing great. Hows the 12 week challenge coming. Are you still exercising. I rode my bike for 28 minutes today. And went 6.82 miles. I did that first thing this morn. So far so good with the eating. I will have to post my menu for the day later. Not sure what I am having for supper.

I am thinking of all you ladies. Just because I didn't mention you. Dont think I am not thinking of you. I do. I wonder how you all are doing. So everyone have a good day. Will check in later.
A TOPS PAL

Good Morning All

Eleni, You were brave to weigh this morning. I was afraid to step on that scale today. I did okay eating during SRD, but when I got home and yesterday, I did bad. But today is a new day and we will do good this week!
I had a half pound gain at weigh-in Friday. It was my first gain of the month. I lost 2.5# in April. I'm trying to stay in the black for one full month. May will be hard because my brother and sister-in-law are coming for a visit and she loves to cook and have lots of food around.

Mary Ann, We've been told that it is okay to have food as part of a program. If you want to make a point such as using the M&M's or give samples of a good low calorie recipe. I made a pot of the veggie cheese soup and gave samples of it one time when we were having a program on vegetables. One of the other ladies demonstrated how to make a good stir fry dish one time. Visual aids make the program more interesting.
It would be hard to go to the SRD if you were the only one from your group going. It's always more fun to have someone with you. We did meet some other ladies from a chapter in Northwest FL. They were very nice and we enjoyed talking with them.

Wanda, (I'm so used to thinking of you as Mickey) SRD's are very inspiring, aren't they. You see so many people that have been successful in their weight loss and you think "I could do that if I tried a little harder". I just hope that I can take some of that motivation back to the chapter.
I was only responsible for keeping up with the ones in my car. We had it down pretty pat with meeting the rest of the group, but a couple of the ladies in my car must have a problem with memory. We told them the afternoon session was between 2 and 4 and that we would meet in the motel lobby at 1:30 PM to drive to the meeting. When they didn't show, we knocked on their door and one was saying that we were going at 2 and the other said no, we going at 4. Then they had to finish dressing and one lost her name tag. The place was so crowded that we couldn't save seats and all sit together. That's when we often had to round them up. Even tho you tell them to meet you outside, they would sit down in the lobby and wait. It takes a lot of patience and you just have to laugh and keep going.

My hubby is home today. He had a CatScan this morning and decided to take the rest of the day off. He has a DR's appt. later this week and we'll know then if the mass is gone.

Til Later, (a friend is on the phone)

Nita
