Talking Weekly Chat - January 15th - 21st

Good Morning,

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Any plans for the week?

I gotta be honest.....some times when I say I'm going to try to do something, I sabotage myself......like for instance, this week I want to REALLY buckle down and get serious with my eating. There, now that I've said it I hope I didn't set myself up for another failure... ya know what I mean. But I gotta keep trying

Weekend was wonderful, to short as usual. Its raining out today....can't complain, it could be snow.

Whats up girls?

good morning gang

I'm at work today. It's raining and cold and yucky down here. Wish I was at home sleeping and then exercising. I didn't get up this morning and get in my exercise *sigh* but there is always tomorrow

Leenie - are you at work today too? and yes I understand what you mean about sabatoging yourself. All we can do is take it one day at a time girlie. I hope it's a great day for you girlie!

I gotta get busy and get to work.

Hey Ladies.

I am just glad I'm off work tonight, but I got woken up early by DH kicking me in his sleep. So I was like okay, I'm awake now. lol.

I have actually been feeling pretty good, depression wise. I don't know if the depression meds are finally doing their job or what, but I do feel a lot better.

I too need to really get serious about my eating, Leenie. I also haven't been drinking my water like I should be. But today is a brand new day, right?

Well I hope you all have a Great Day!

I didn't realize how much of my "depression" in the past was related to boredom....I have so much more personal satisfaction since I sorted out my career and have worked harder on keeping the love alive in my marriage....instead of doing what I think I should be doing....school council, volunteering, church, events with my friends etc....I am nurturing myself and my family....but it is a journey....a work in process.....and somedays are better than others...but I truly think I am on the right path.

Have a great week everyone!

Liz

Question Generic Wellbutrin XL --> Bupropion, anybody had it??

Hey all,

Well I went to pick up my Anti-Depressant Meds and the insurance wouldn't pay for the "Name Brand" (Wellbutrin XL) since now they came out with a Generic, (Bupropion). So I have to "Try" it and if it doesn't work then I can have my Dr. tell them and then they will pay for the Name Brand. So I'll try it...... Anybody here tried it??????

Liz -- I think you're right about boredom, that is my biggest complaint where I work now. Yes I get paid not so bad, and I can sit or stand whenever I like (good for my bad back), but I am bored out of my mind! But I'm not sure what else I wanna do that is profitable and we do need the extra income. I am also a big scaredy Cat when it comes to changing jobs....I have been at this job for over a year now, that isn't a "LONG" time, but long enough for me to feel "comfortable"................I was thinking about looking into working for the hospital possibly as a Unit Clerk or something? I really would love to do something like that for an Infertility Clinic, since I can understand all about that, with my PCOS and all. Well sorry to have rambled on, I'm very happy for you that you have found what makes you happy in your life.

Well that is all, take care!

good morning gang :wave

brrrrrrr it's cold down here. Windchill is 25 this morning, cloudy and grey and dreary looking but thank the Good Lord it is not raining. And it's suppose to stay like this alllllllllll day.

I got up at 5 and walked 2 miles, even tho all I wanted to do was stay in my nice warm bed. But I did feel good once I got it in.

American Idol starts tonight. does anyone else watch?

Good Morning,

Wow, what moving posts.

Liz it is a journey isn't it. But one worth fighting for thats for sure.

Sassy, I used to work for a generic company in product development (thats copying the brand product and making it into the generic you see on the market), and we did make Bupropion. One thing you need to remember with generics is that the active ingredient IS the same as the brand...... BUT!!!! it can come from a different source and thats why some times generic's aren't as good as the brand.... but thats just a BUT!!!!! Most of the time it works fine. Hope it works for yah !!!!

Skinny.... get out of bed girl...its beautiful out there. Grab a cup of coffee/tea and smile

Cathy burrrr, its cold up here too. Nope never watched that show...actually I don't watch much tv. The tv I do watch is usually a kids show lol. Good girl for getting up and doing your exercise BRAVO !!!!

Nothing much happening here SOSDD...did good eating yesterday
Hope to do the same today ya know.

Whats shakin ????

I'm a much better exerciser than I am dieter.....but I did have the lettuce wraps at PF Changs this weekend and split an entree each time I went out to dinner.

I can be satisfied with a smaller portion, there is no need to stuff myself (think of the results)!

Wink Hi Chicks

I just checked to see the last time I'd posted here..it was the day after Christmas! So much has happened since then. My sister in law passed away on the 27th . She had improved a lot since we'd seen her in October, but she was transferred back to hospice a day or two before Christmas. Then my friend Angie was called home to Jesus on Jan. 6th . She'd outlived the doctor's predictions by five years, and she went out of this life praising God. But in the midst of sadness, we received good news..Matthew received his official release papers . He'll be getting out of prison on Feb. 21. He doesn't know yet what the immediate future holds. He'll know more after he reports to his probation officer. He's already thinking about his options. It won't be easy, but I know that God can open doors for him to a new life. As for my weight, I only gained 3 lbs over the holidays (a miracle! ). My WW weigh-in is tonite, but my eating has been so-so.

Leenie: I know what you mean about sabotage . I start out each day with good intentions, but sometimes I slip up. All we can do is baby steps.

Cathy: That cold, nasty weather is headed our way I'm actually kind of glad..this winter has been unseasonably warm, even for Florida.

Sassy: I'm glad the meds are working for your depression. I wouldn't worry about the generics.

Liz: I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better. Sometimes just finding the right balance in our lives makes all the difference.

Kemp: I remember you! I'm so glad you're back

Marble: WTG on the exercise . Who did you split that entree with, if you don't mind my asking

SkinnyScorp: I'm glad you're here . I've been on this board for awhile, but I don't post that often. This is an awesome group of people!

Tippy: Good to see you. I hope you get your computer probs straightened out.

to everyone!

Hey Joanne;

thanks for asking.....but of course you KNOW it's "the boyfriend"....who seems to have gained 15 lbs. since he started dating me....must be all my good cooking, dinners out and wine.......he was one of "those" people who had to fight to KEEP weight on...6.5" and 220...now he's in the 230's with a little gut.

a note on the generic brand of Wellbutrin XL.......think of the ingrediants of a chocolate cake....Walmart brand made with the same mixture as a Wegman's brand...but slightly different source....(Nestle vs. Ghaeradeli). it's pretty much the same like Leenie said.

Hey Ladies.

Thanks. I know that usually Generics are just as good and sometimes even better than the original, but I've never taken this one before. So I was just wondering if anybody had any experiences. It really just kinda frustrated me that my insurance are such tightwads, I understand they wanna "save money" but it just gets on my nerves sometimes is all! For my Nexium my Dr had to fight them tooth and nail so they would finally approve it! It just gets kinda frustrating dealing with them sometimes! lol.........But so far, so good on the Generic Wellbutrin, but its only been two days? lol.

Well we finally got some snow today, it was very pretty snow, light and fluffy! lol.

Have a Great Night!
