Nancy - I have never seriously thought of any type of yoga or tai chi etc simply because I am really not that flexible and don't think I could do most of the moves. I still have trouble getting down onto the floor and up again and I can't sit comfortably on the floor. Well... actually I haven't tried it for a while, so I may surprise myself. Most of the problem is with my knee that I have had trouble with for a number of years and damaged a couple of years ago. That was one of the reasons I got the home gym, so I could actually start to add some strength to my body. I have lost more than half my body weight, so am frustrated that I can't move as I would like because I still need to add strength/muscle. I am definitely getting better, so I may look at those types of exercise now. Thanks for the suggestion.
Vicki - Don't be so hard on yourself. At least you worked out! You could have just decided to leave it out totally this week. You did well to fit it in.
Went for a beautiful walk with hubby for an hour this morning. VERY brisk on the way out and brisk on the way back. Funnily enough, we worked out almost half way that we had both been trying to 'keep up' with each other. Somehow we BOTH got a 'weird' view of the other one keeping ahead of us. It was a sunny, fresh morning and we walked along the Swan River. We walked along a different section today, past the resort/casino. It is a beautiful walk and there are quite a few black swans along the way - which the river was named after. We think we may stay at the resort at some time over the holidays. It is a touch of luxury we possibly shouldn't indulge in, but that's what holidays are all about huh? I'd love to spend the evening in a lovely room, go out for dinner (as I'm still learning how to eat 'out' healthily) and go to the casino. Then start the following morning with a lovely walk along the river. Sounds nice.
