I take CLA in the morning along with my other vitamins. You know, I don't know if it's helped, or not. I have lost 15 pounds in the last five weeks-ish (since Feb 1) and have taken them for the last month. It doesn't really matter to me if they're helping or not. I just take them because they
might, and since they're basically healthy fatty acids, aren't gonna hurt. I would suggest going ahead and taking them if you feel like it, but don't expect miracles.
PrairieQueen - I agree about calorie cycling being a good thing. I don't do it in any formal way, but instead have a calorie goal range which allows me a bit of flexibility depending on how tired I feel (food as fuel!). I aim for between 1200 and 1450 calories per day, with one day of 1750 on the weekend. I've been having great success with this approach, so far.

It's probably sodium. Or, at least, when I've had those weird jumps, I just say it's sodium and drink a lot of water. It goes away.
