  • Getting Started
Hello all I am a newbie about to get started. I have my appointment set up for Monday the 24th and am ready to start losing 100 pounds. We do a lot of camping and horseback riding and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions for meal portability.

I post new recipes with pix a few times a week on the IP FINLAND RECIPES thread. And you can LIKE my Facebook page if you want it to show up in your news feed when something new is added.

Here is the page where the Turnip fries recipe is. You dont have to cover them with the IP Chili.

I boil the cut turnip before roasting to ensure that the final product doenst have a hard, root-y texture, but many people just cut and roast/grill without the extra step. Its up to you.

Here is the link to another roast vegetable recipe (Turnip, Swede, Celery, etc) which is also great when you crave hearty potato-y stuff.

Hang in there. Tomorrow should be somewhat better and even more so the day after. I had pretty nasty withdrawal symptoms, but once it passed it was all so worth it.

    congrats on making your appointment!

I don't have any tips for taking your meals with you.... perhaps try posting in the IP daily chat... a lot of them have tons of experience!
