Jilly - Man, I really feel ya on the long work hours. I am in the same boat and it has wrought havoc on my eating plan for a week and a half. I haven't weighed but feel as though I may have gained every one of my 11 pounds back. I've got to grab this bull by the horns and just do a better job of being prepared regardless of my work hours. It'll be tough, but we can both do it. Hang in there!

Sue - Nice to see your smiling face here again. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Sucks you are injured. Take care of yourself and feel better soon!

EmilyMay - Yes, get rid of that scale if you have to, but don't weigh yourself more than weekly. Speaking to you as a formerly scale-obsessed maniac. I am much happier now that I have let the daily (sometimes several times a day) weighing go.

Brenda - Great job resisting the urge to snack! You can use this as an anchoring tool, which is something they teach us in WW. Next time you are struggling with the urge to snack when you shouldn't, think back to this time you were successful and it will help you through it. Great job!

Nothing much for me to report. I need to get out and walk my dog today. It is nice and sunny, he is fat, I am fat, and I am behind on my exercise minutes for the month. All good reasons why I should get off my duff and walk. After that I have some house cleaning to do and some studying. I am considering taking the GMAT next month during my week off. It will just depend on how prepared I can get over theses next few weekends. Awhile back I took a self-test for the GMAT which gives you an idea of your strengths and weaknesses. I actually did fairly well on it so I feel like I just need to brush up a few areas I didn't do as well on. Hopefully I'll be ready to take it in a few weeks. I'd really like to get started in MBA school this summer. Alot has to happen though: 1) Take and do well on GMAT, 2) Get approval from my job so that they will pay 80% of the cost, 3) Get 3 letters of recommendation, 4) update my resume for the application, 5) write and essay for the application. Lots of work now that I list it all out like that. Better hop to it!!!!!

Take care, everyone.

Hi All,

I said I wouldn't write again unless I had something positive to write. Well it's kind of positive. First of all I want to confess that this weekend I went really nuts with my eating. I had all sorts that I shouldn't, including a bottle of wine I didn't feel guilty, and I still don't. At the same time I am NOT going to weigh tomorrow because I really don't want to see what damage I have done. But here is the positive bit........I am SO looking forward to getting back on track. It's like I've got the pig out done and out of my system. It's school holidays tomorrow, but rather than use that as an excuse to not exercise, I am getting up early and am exercising before anybody else gets up. I will weigh next week and hopefully I will be the same weight as I was at last WI, that way I will know that whatever I gained this week I will have lost. But onwards and DOWN those scales I am still determined to go!

Oh and one last VERY positive thing. Sharon kindly sent me some jeans and tops that are now too big for her, thanks Sharon Anyway the jeans are a 22 and they FIT and they look good. The tops are in Daren's words very SEXY lol, and when he saw me in the whole outfit he was most impressed

Sorry I can't catch up with all the personals I have missed out on, it's lovely to see the new faces, even more lovely to see some returning ones, and I am really happy to hear about the losses a lot of us have been having For those with gains or who have had weekends like I have, big hugs for us

Bye for now, see you all tomorrow,

Hugs,

Ammi
