I'm going to go ahead and jump in here....

SW:153
CW:153
GW:143

10lbs in 10 weeks----totally doable! This is a great challenge for me because I will be in a bikini, ready or not on Dec 24th! We are going to Mexico for Christmas! I will be THRILLED with 143! That would put me at only 5 more lbs until GOAL! Woot!

Thank you! I got curious, so I looked back to see when I started, how many pounds in how many weeks I've lost since I joined this thread.

I joined this challenge back on Aug 9 so as of last weigh in, it has been 10 weeks and 22.8 pounds (2.28lbs a week on average-which I am more than happy about). Some weeks were great, others not so much. I had food poisoning a couple of times in the beginning so even though I don't recommend that route, it certainly got me off to a quick start for this challenge.

I'm just a devoted calorie counter (1200-1400 a day) and hardly ever stray. I walk/jog a few times a week and do exercises in my house (hula hoop, free weights, resistance cord, etc). When I do stray, I make sure to try & not go above 1400 and never ever go above 2000.

Really wish I could give you a better, more enlightened answer in how I've been doing it. But I think this quick success is probably because I really never gave weight loss a try before so when I started and stuck to it, my body just wanted to respond. It finally clicked that I needed to do it now for the sake of the rest of my life. That has been a huge, ginormous motivation...more than any of the small goals (but those are important too and fun to have and achieve).

This thread has really helped. It helped to put things in perspective and to let me know that if I can get through to Christmas with putting in the effort, I can make it to initial goal weight and beyond in the next year.

I hope this helped in some way.

Best of luck to everyone!

Thanks Luddy, i added walking to my diet plan last week and i lost more weight compared to the previous weeks. Like you said, the main thing is to be devoted to your plan.

SW (18 August): 176.5/80kg
Last check-in: (17 October): 165.3 pounds/75kg
CW (25 October): 163.1pounds/74kg
GW (25 December!): 146.5/66.5kg

Ok so I actually weighed Sunday morning and it's now 12.40ish am Monday here. I'm not sure I'll see the same weight when I've slept at get up again as I just had a rather off plan day - but maybe it was just what I needed to shake things up!
I'm liking that I'm still losing, but I am so unsure about reaching my goal! It seems so far away and both possible and impossible all at once! I guess only time will tell That's...13.2 pounds since 18 August. So I guess if I get some woosh I could be lucky? But then again...I might fall a bit short!

Well done everyone with losses and keep it up everyone else! Only 9 weeks til Christmas!
