Congrats on the loss, djmommy. It is nice to have a loss when you thought you didn't do well.

Hi everyone! I *finally* saw a big change this week - down 2.4 lbs, and I was tied for "biggest loser" at our meeting (which was my secret goal this week.) I might not make it to 10 lbs by the New Year, but I'm losing weight, in DECEMBER, and that's what's important. Congrats to all who've lost this week!

Went to WI today and I lost 2.2 lbs!! Which really excited me because last week I gained 0.4. So what do you all think of the new point system? I figure I'll try it for at least three weeks, and then if it isn't working, I'll go back to what has been working. I don't know if I'll quite make it to my holiday goal, but at least I'll be close!

Congratulations to everyone that has lost!! Hope you're all having a great day!

I maintained this week. As crazy as life has gotten for me this week, I'll take it. It still leaves me 4 pounds from my holiday goal but eh, I'll get there. I have new incentive again today and our weekly meeting talked about finding time in your day for things you need to do. Very interesting and thought provoking. I love going to my meetings. They give me strength and thoughts that I CAN DO THIS!!!!!

Congrats to the losers!

I was not even close to OP yesterday, ugh! Back on track today though, and hoping that yesterday doesn't totally ruin my weigh in on Saturday!

Sorry I've been absent. Everyone is doing great!!

I had my weigh in today and was down 3.6, making a total weight loss for me of 23.2 pounds. I have a little less than 2 pounds to go to make my Holiday goal, but even more importantly, losing 2 more pounds would put me at 10%.
I am really hoping to make my 10% by Christmas. And to think I had thought to just wait until AFTER the holidays to get started. Now I'll be starting the new year off twenty some pounds lighter.

Another good note. My Dr. had told me once I get down to 230 to call and set up an appointment to slowly start taking me off high blood pressure meds. YES!!!!

Keep it up everyone!!!

Sounds like a great day, Regina. I have heard so many people (my best friend included) say they will wait till the holidays are over to start the plan. One of the teen boys over heard me telling another mom how much weight I lost so far. He asked me if I was nuts trying to diet during the holidays. I told him I wasn't dieting I was changing my lifestyle to become a healthier person. He said he wouldn't even think of it till the beginning of the year. And I told that come the beginning of the year one might say after valentines day (so they can eat the chocolates) and then it will be after so and sos birthday. If you are looking for an excuse you will always find one. He then said I guess you don't want to put off till tomorrow what you could do today. BINGO.

WOO HOO! At today's weigh in I lost 4 pounds, meeting my holiday goal on the nose! I'm totally excited!

Regina, that's awesome! Working your way off of BP meds is such an accomplishment, you should be extremely proud of yourself! I'm proud of you!!

Chris, I totally agree! If I had said that I was going to wait until after the holidays I wouldn't be down 51 pounds right now. In fact, I could have been up a couple more pounds! Never put off until tomorrow.....

Have a good weekend everyone!

YEAH!!! Kelly, look at you in the 100's!! I can't wait til I leave the 200's behind. What an accomplishment. Be proud of yourself.

Yes, there always is something you can wait for to start that diet plan. I did that for so many years. This is truly the first "diet" I have done where I haven't felt like I am doing a diet. It truly is a lifestyle.

Keep up the good work everyone!!

Wow, everyone is doing so well!!! I weighed in on Saturday and was down 1.4! Considering I slipped up one day during the week, I was happy with it!

Here are my stats for the challenge so far!

Beginning Weight: 203.8
Current Weight: 197.6
Goal Weight by New Year’s: 195
Pounds Lost: 6.2
Pounds to Lose: 2.6
Number of Weigh-in Before New Year’s: 2

I'm not sure if I will make 195 by New Year's. I will be out of town for nearly 2 weeks during the holidays, which will really make it hard. I am just hoping not to gain too much, I'd be happy to just maintain my current weight
