Let's bring this back to the top.
I started the original thread ages ago and was stunned to see that it is still in existence.
The stories are really inspirational.
I've lost 60+ pounds since last year on WW and just booked Cuba for February, so I am going back on it with a vengeance!! I just had a break for six weeks while I did a Master's credit but now I'm good to go!
I just came back to this site after a long hiatus! I've lost 64 lbs. on Atkins and I look better at 161 than I ever did before because of weight lifting.
I am STUNNED at some of the great success stories here!!!! This is a LOT of weight GONE FOREVER and I congratulate you all. I feel pretty dwarfed by all of this and hope that maybe next year I can join the ranks, but here goes:
I joined a gym in March 02, attended intermittently for a while but have been going regularly for about six weeks now. I also started low-carbing about six weeks ago, and since my first weigh in/measure at the gym, I've lost 20 pounds and 20.5 inches. My scale says I'm right around 230 at 5'7".
My goals: first to break the 200 mark, then to get down to around 150-160, and once I'm in shape to become an exercise instructor!
Hi...I have lost 60 lbs so far...from 295 to 235 by following the Carbohydrate Addicts diet and Sugar Busters and it has never been easier and trust me I have done this now for a long time...I am 46. I am a recovering Bulimic (4 years) and have been through it all....from anorexic to close to 300 lbs and this is the first time in my life I feel like food does not control me. I am not perfect by no means and it has taken me 2 years to lose 60 lbs but I have not felt better in forever..my most exciting moment will be when I weigh under 200...I will feel like I have joined the rest of the world...not that numbers should mean anything...how you feel should...but that is just a personal goal for me. You all sound like you are doing great...keep up the good work....for your health!!
Hi,everyone
I've enjoyed everyone's success stories. I was interested to see how many have been losing counting calories. I had lost 14 lbs. on the Carbohydrate addict diet but was tiring of that rapidly so I decided to count calories for 2 months and then evaluate which works better and which I can live with longer.
My total loss so far has been 15 lbs.
I'm also doing at least 30 min. of exercise a day . I can't believe how much this has improved my stamina.
Good luck on everyone's journey to thinness. I hope I will be returning to this board frequently.

I have lost 73.5 pounds since 3/1/2002 by counting calories and exercising! I Went from a 24-26-28 pant to now a size 14!! I feel fabulous and have energy to boot.
I was just wondering how many calories you are having a day and what exercises you are doing. Also, how long did it take you to lose the weight this way? Congrats and keep up the good work.
