Bonnie-yes I got your PM and I'm really sorry to hear about your doggie....I hope everything else went good for you...on;y 1lb gained during your trip is great....we are going on vacation the end of June and I hope I don't gain much back either...
sushi-good luck looking for a job..at least summer is coming which will make it a little bit easier...
mscat-you'll be right back before you know it...could be extra water also from not being able to eat as healthy and maybe not getting in enough water..
I have been really lazy the last few weeks and haven't been working out as much...I also have been feeling alot more tired lately...I haven't been to the gym since thursday and only rode my stationary bike once this weekend...other than eating good I don't know how I lost the weight last week...
Well off to work I go...you lovely ladies have a great day
Just a quickie to say I have not gotten into a new routine. My integrity is totally out the window. Thinking of staying home to catch up on rest and regroup.
Bonnie - I am so sorry about your beloved pet. My heart goes out to you.
Sushi - you will find the right job for you. Job hunting is a combination of numbers (increasing the possibilities for a good fit), faith, confidence and stick-to-it-ness!
Donna and carla thanks for all your good wishes.
I am sure the weight gain was due in part to the salt (car snacks), lack of water, missed bp med and lack of sleep. I just realized that I had 17 days of exercise when I stopped. I am going to start another exercise challenge as soon as I can get off my BB!
I just lost a long post because of a copying mistake and posted my 21-day challenge reply in here.
We played badminton yesterday, and my arm is still a bit sore. It was lots of fun though. And the weather is nice right now, so we'll certainly play again this week.
I didn't go skating though. The car wasn't back in time, and I was worried about driving back in the dark, which is something I had not thought of before. Maybe next week.
Mscat, I'm trying to be positive about the job search, but... It's not going well. I've been very lucky in the past, and often got work through recommendation or transfers, so I don't have much job searching or interview experience. That's not helpful when you need a job NOW, and when your employment agency tells you that they won't have any suitable positions available because they're busy with other things. :

hello ladies...well I made it to the gym yesterday and did 30 mins bike and 60 mins weights...today I had my session with my trainer and we did arms for 30 mins and then I did 45 mins on the bike...came home and cut the grass and edged the yard...my arms feel like they are going to fall off..
bonnie-sorry to hear your dealing with stress..yes it can really make you pig out...I think thats part of the reason I gained so much...stressfull job and pass family problems..
Well I am back on track I got in a 25 min. workout on Wednesday a.m. and a 15 min. stairclimber workout this a.m. I ate bland foods yesterday (had the runs all day ) only fruit and brown rice.
The scale is moving again but I am not going to change my ticker until Monday weigh-in.
Go Donna you are really working out consistently!
Sushi - Hang in there Keep working all the possibilities - agencies, web searches, etc. Is there anyone you know in the workforce who can do some mock interviews with you? Even if it is for a job you are not interested or qualified for, the practice will help you answer more confidently when you get to the real thing.
Bonnie - BB sisters are on the move If a workout is too much of a stretch, get in a 15 minute walk - you will de-stress, have a quiet moment for reflection, and get some movement in.
No skating and no yoga, but we did play badminton again today. I had a good day exercise-wise - 20 min of stationary biking, 20 min run, 1.5 hrs of walks and then 25 min of badminton. I also contacted another employment agency, so we'll see how that goes.
I'm going to have an "official" challenge next week for sure. I think I'll focus on my sleep schedule and on doing yoga or stretching regularly, as food and exercise are covered by my other challenges for the next couple weeks.
Hi Ladies! I am challenged today - wanting to slip into my "poor, woe is me" sewage. I was really loosing the battle of self-pity until I checked in with you today Great job Sushi - Your resolve on all fronts is inspiring. I too need to take on sleep - maybe I will join you.
I did get on the treadmill again today - 20 minutes That is 3 days in a row. Going to lunch in a few - wish me good sence!
hello ladies...well wed & thurs were really bad eating days for me...but I'm back on track today witht he eating....My trainer worked me out really good on wed...my arms were sore all day yesterday and he had me do some stomach exercise which had me so sore for the last two days...so i haven't gotten in any exercise for the last two days but I'm going back at it tomorrow...
mscat- I like to see that your doing great..3 days in a row and back on track..keep it up..glad to hear you got the scale moving...
sushi- your doing awesome too..biking, walking & running
Just a quickie while eating lunch.
It's Sunday here, and I really really really like what I saw on the scale this morning. Hopefully it'll be the same or better by our weigh in day.
And I'm happy because I was up early today despite a late night yesterday.
I'm doing good, trying to brave cooked spinach for lunch...
hello ladies...hope everyone is having a great weekend...I'm all excited..I went through my clothes and have a big bag to give charity and all my old clothes is was wanting to get back into fit great...now I can't wait for them to be too big too...then I'll have to go shopping for new clothes...
sushi -glad to hear your scale is showing greeatness...good luck with your next weigh-in
mscat-I hope that your now on 5 days in a row...your doing great..
My week is off to a bad start. Well, not entirely, as I have an interview at the new agency (just a preliminary one, not for a job) and I went back to my Ashtanga yoga class today. I'm really happy about both, and especially about yoga. I've been back for 2 weeks and something always prevented going. The session was great, but I can feel that I lost a lot of the attained flexibility (well, bits of it to be exact) because of the long break...
This week, I want to go to another yoga class if I can get the car, and do a yoga DVD at home four or five times (or even six or seven).
I also want to fix my bed routine, and go to bed early and get up early, and that's what is off to a bad start. I woke up early on Sunday AND went to bed early, but today I didn't manage to wake up till 10 am... which really frustrated me. The day went by, and I was feeling tired and low on energy and hardly did anything. And it's already 10 pm, I still have a ton of work to do on the computer, so I know it won't be an early night... maybe I'll manage to drag myself out of bed early tomorrow.
yesterday was good ..I got alot running around done..I went to the gym and did 25 min elliptical and 60 min weights and 60 min on bike...so I'm also happy to say that I'm down 1.4lbs this week which puts me at 167.2..
Sushi-I'm right there with you on needing the sleep...I was up till about 12:30 am and had to get up at 6am..maybe I should have a goal this week to go to bed early too...
Hi Ladies! I was stressing and busy all weekend - but it looks like things were great for most of you. I got up and did a Tae Bo workout this a.m. so I am feeling like I am getting back in the swing of things. I even got my 1st 24 oz of water in
Donna for your consistent work and pounds down.
Bonnie for getting back down to 203.
Sushi - can't wait to hear how your weigh-in went : I am weighing myself tonight when I get home from my busy day.
I'm so tired. Late night again yesterday, and today at 8 am I was half dead and remained so for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I need to get up before 7 am, so hopefully that will put me on track.
I did the Yoga DVD today after my run (well, run and walk, which took 1.5 hrs - but I ran for 40 min total!). It was ok, but nowhere near as good as my Ashtanga Yoga classes... just not hard and not intense enough. But it's something, and it'll help me with flexibility, so I'll keep on doing it, even though something more challenging would be a lot more interesting for sure.
The scale wasn't as good to me today. Almost two pounds more than on Sunday (why????). I'm leaving my ticker as it is, at least it's accurate now - for the first time in weeks and weeks! I did lose, quite a bit actually, given that I was in 140s a week and a half ago. But it's not a real loss, as I'm still not moving forward, just losing the regained pounds. I'm hoping for improvement over the next 2 weeks though.
