lovemylife

I did flex back in '07 and '08 and was very successful with it... Got down past goal and I remember being very happy with my "beach body" that summer... Lol...

elaineindc I know that feeling of being disappointed over such a slight "gain" after doing everything right that week... But here's how I would look at it... Being up only 0.2 is basically staying the same, right? So in my book that makes you a MAINTENANCE SUCCESS!!! So give yourself credit for that... And give yourself a big credit for doing such a great job of tracking and staying OP last week... Just keep doing what you're doing and the scale will start moving in the right direction again...

TMI alert... feeling MUCH better this morning after several days where my intestines took a vacation. For a girl with IBS who usually has cramping and the Big D EVERY DAY, this is strange new territory. Today things finally broke loose, as it were, and I feel Sooooooo much better.

I'm not sure what to DO about this. I've long suspected that my IBS symptoms were caused by something in the bready carbs that I love. Now that I don't eat much of them anymore, suddenly I'm backed up. Is there no happy medium?

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to the forum! I've just had my second weigh in & lost 3.5lb which totals 9lbs in two weeks. This is rare for me, whatever I've done in the past I get small losses, if any loss, but I am not complaining! Hope to keep it going this way.

Kitten I have been in that same "strange new territory" too lately... I suspect too that it has something to do with not only less carbs for me, but also just less overall food in general... I've been trying all sorts of things... And even have had to resort to OTC laxatives which I really hate doing... Right now I'm doing a Probiotics supplement, a fiber supplement, and a Mg supplement to try to get things "regular" again... It really is a bit of a mystery to me because I do eat a lot of salads, along with plenty of fresh fruit and veggies... I'm hoping that all of that and increasing my activity will get me back on track in that department...

I'm new to WW so I can't give much insight but in my first 5 days on plan (Filling & Healthy) I didn't go the loo once! I thought it was me but it seems like it affects others too....I love veggies & fruit & eat a lot of salads. I've just started taking colon cleanse herbal tablets, so far so good but obviously I'm sure different things work for different people.

Thanks for the welcome TripSwitch and welcome to all the new members. I'm really looking forward to sharing and hearing all the success stories. I weigh in tomorrow and feel pretty good about my eating this past week, especially with the Memorial day fest that my family had lol. But I was a good girl and didn't over indulge and still worked out that day. Hope everyone has a great day. Will check in later.

Amberkkski...

Congrats on your amazing weight loss so far... That's AWESOME!!!

And congrats on turning things back around... I'm trying to do the same after this past weekend... And of course I used the excuse that it's a holiday weekend and the kick off to summer and all that... Well boy, oh boy... did I care when I got on the scale afterwards... Lol... Oh, well... As they say... "There's no failure... Only feedback"

But I'm ready to get back on track and keep working towards my goal... Look forward to having you here...

Ugh.. I'm TIRED.

I've been eating canned ready-to-eat soup all week for lunch, and it is NOT WORKING. Nope. Done with it. Too much salt, it's not satisfying to me so I have to eat something with it. I thought it would be a great, easy lunch idea for work but it's out the window now. I was eating the Progresso Light ones... a whole can was only 4-5 points, but when I'm not satisfied until I add an 8 point bag of chips... well what's the point? And the salt.... omg the salt. Even though I've been on point, I'm still afraid I might not have any significant loss this week because of all the salt. So today, I'm back to my 9 point salad. I carefully measured the cheese and dressing so I am positive of my point value, and when I eat this particular salad configuration I'm always satisfied afterwards because it's got fat, protein, fiber... I use full-fat cheese and dressing which is obviously higher point, but 100% worth it because of the satisfaction factor.

Satisfaction is such an important thing to me. I've learned that a low-point meal means nothing if you have to add something to it in order to feel full. Kinda not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. I know that I didn't gain, but I also know I probably won't be blown away by my loss. Boo. Here's to a better next week.

Good Morning...

Not feeling particularly motivated today... I'm going to see if I can summon the energy to get out for at least a short run... I think actually sweating a little bit today might help...? And I can fall back to some swimming if I just can't get it together to run which is always good... So we'll see...

I decided not to weigh-in at my regular meeting on Tuesday... with the plan that I would hit another meeting later in the week and weigh-in then... Of course in the hope that I would show a loss for the week... But it turns out there is a meeting with a Leader that I like today at 5p, so I'm gonna go to that and weigh-in then... I think everything should be fine.... Just gotta keep telling myself when it comes to the scale "There's no failure... Just feedback"

But I really do need to "tighten" things up a bit when it comes to my eating... I've definitely been a bit "loose" lately... And it's really showing on the scale... So hopefully today's weigh-in will give me the motivation to really double-down with my efforts so I can get my 5% sticker soon and then break into the 150's right after that... That would put me so close to goal that I think it would be just the confidence boost I really need right now...

Alright.... Well, it looks like I have a plan... And I'm sticking to it!!!

Kitten I can so relate... I've done something similar... Like buying a weeks worth of Lean Cuisine's that were all really low pts and thinking I would just bring that to work for lunch and that would be all I had... Well, needless to say that didn't last very long... Lol...

I love your idea for the salad instead... I'm big fan of a really nice salad for lunch, especially this time of year... The other thing I really like this time of year is chilled soups, especially gazpacho... So I need to find some low pt ones for those... I think I should be able to do some gazpacho and a nice filling salad for not to many pts...

And I'm feeling exactly the same about my weigh-in too... So I'm right there with you...

TripSwitch... I've never had gazpacho but the idea of a cold soup sounds kinda good. I don't like the taste of raw tomatoes so maybe that particular cold soup wouldn't do it for me. A quick look at recipes leads me to believe that just leaving out the bread would probably make it super low point.

Bountiful Baskets is a Friday night pickup this week so I'm excited to see what I get. I ordered the Tour de France pack so i know I'll have endive, mushroom, watercress, green beans, strawberries, rosemary, thyme, red potatoes, roma tomatoes, and cucumbers. You know what I need? A recipe website where I can plug in what I have and it finds a recipe for me.
